I am in my sophomore year and my major is Marketing. I chose that major because I love the creative side of business.
I aspire to work in New York City and work in fashion marketing.
My favorite music artist is Ariana Grande. I appreciate her work and her ability to not only sing but write music and produce it. She is very musically talented.
I have always been passionate about music. I hope to create my own in the future.

I like it because it is very colorful. The colors mix together beautifully.

Several Circles Response

When I first look at 'Several Circles' the first thought I had is that it looked like a bunch of eyes. It also reminds me of a solar system with different planets.
The colors and shapes in the painting impact my initial impressions because they remind me of objects I've seen before.

I would describe the figures as abstract. They look human-like but in the form of abstract art.
They all have a straight face appearance. They seem to be posing for a picture.

I felt uneasy drawing the figures because it was an unusual picture. I also felt nervous but confident I can do it.
The process made the assignment slightly easier. Although I love to free hand draw, drawing the lines gives me a sense of direction.

There is a lot of unity in the painting regarding the repetition in colors. There is also emphasis on color and value.
I like his drip painting a lot. I am fascinated by drip painting. I love all the colors he chooses. I would put the painting up in my room.

After looking at the painting it looks like the subject matter is a scene of New York City. The shapes look like buildings and it looks like there is a bridge going into the city.
The painting includes details of value due to the lightness and darkness. It also includes unity, specifically repetition, due to the repeated shapes throughout the painting.

I believe that any object can be made into art. In my opinion taking something and interpreting it as your own can be a form of art. Although we may not find it beautiful, art is an expression of our minds.

Reflection of Picasso

The quote, "The incoherent scrawls of a frenetic old man in the antechamber of death" speaks to the life of Picasso. As I break apart this quote it seems to correctly apply to Picasso. I agree as well as disagree with the message of the quote.

Picasso had been a passionate artists his whole life. While some can say his artwork was unclear, I believe that it couldn't be more clear. Each work of art screamed with emotion and clearly showed instances occurring throughout his life. The art describes feeling and the state of mind in which Picasso was in. I was able to depict the scenes of his life by closely examining his work.

On the contrary, I agree with the quotes idea of him fearing and awaiting his death. He spent most of his life locked up in his villa. He feared the outside world. He also despised the idea of fame. He desired the idea of keeping his life a secret, and did not want the world to know his every move. As death approached him, he was more aware than ever. You can clearly see in his artwork "The Portrait", that the eyes were widened with fear. He knew death was approaching and it was a matter of time till he passed.

Picasso's late work challenges traditional notions of creativity because it was very unique. He had a style that was known to him. As he got older and continued to make artwork, critics disagreed with it. They claimed he was too old to pick up a pencil, and that the art was unclear. Although after his passing his art became even more recognized and appreciated.

Picasso, being so old, continued his artwork till the end of time. He lived a very successful career. He did not let his age define him. He continued shocking the world with his creations and abilities.

After looking through Picasso's portfolio of work, I am rather fascinated as well as confused. Several of his works are very beautifully done and catch my eye. Although, I am confused with his obsession of creating pornographic artwork. Despite his eager mind, I am able to appreciate the talent he had and applaud him for his success.

The Ancient Egyptians had many achievements such as building monumental pyramids.
Some of the figures are represented as a mixture of a human and an animal. One looks as if it is crossed with a human and a bird and one with a human and a dog. The figures are also seen wearing some traditional eye makeup. They also seem to be wearing specific clothing that applies to their culture.
