I started progress reports with some of my fifth grade boys and called it an "I Will Make Progress Report" to help them understand that I'm not just monitoring their progress but ensuring that they will make progress. This helped me plan for each student on a personal level and gave them the opportunity to think with a growth mind set. They are able to set goals for the week revolving behavior and they rate themselves at the end of the week before reflecting on the week and their answers.
