Consequence-Based Approaches: Designed to provide students either with reinforcement, or punishment after an appropriate or inappropriate behavior occurs. For example, daily report cards and behavioral contracts are effective intervention approaches.
3. Creating Accommodations has been recommended as part of a student's IEP. For example, changing seating location during assignments, and altering the length of an assignment.
4. Interventions that target self regulation skills; such as goal setting and self monitoring.
5. Explicit Strategy Instruction that incorporates self regulation instruction can enhance academic achievement in students with ADHD.
