I think it's fine, but it depends on what kind of stories they are and also if people are scary or not. Many times people are very shy and tend to get scared faster than others, they can even run away and as the story says in a forest they could even get lost.

The man under the bed

This is the story of a young woman named Sara. As a child, Sara was afraid of the dark, until she adopted a dog that kept her company. For years, Sara slept peacefully because she knew her dog was under the bed, and if she was afraid she just had to reach out her hand: then the dog would start licking her until she fell asleep.

Thus the years passed and Sara became an adult. One night, on the radio, he heard that near his house they were searching and capturing a very dangerous murderer. Sara, accompanied by her dog, was not afraid: she got into bed, stretched out her hand towards the edge and the dog, like every night, began to lick her.
