My biggest takeaway is how fulfilling this whole process has been, from being lost on how to plan their study materials to it getting easier every week, and enjoying it.

it was tricky to find a balance between getting the students' energy levels up, while making sure they are still grounded enough to focus and absorb what they're learning

Maintaining the students’ focus on the lesson. However, entertaining and answering their questions, whether relevant to the topic or not, managed to motivate them to still look back at the lesson and more likely to be more engaged in lesson.

I would celebrate being able to teach students at ERTI. Since I had no teaching experiences I was quite nervous about how to teach and whether I could juggle tutoring and university things. However, with the help of my tutor buddy we managed to prepare our teaching materials in time and I was able to adapt my teaching methods to meet the needs of the students. I can see our students need more motivation and have faith in themselves that they can score in English.

It was a challenge to teach them English and get students to comprehend the concepts but I learned that patience is very crucial for the students to move forward in their learning process.

It will take time and dedication to teach students and this experience is valuable for me as a future educator.
