Last fall, I was forced to self-reflect on what about that dream drove me to higher education and past the obstacles I'd faced until then. I came to realize that my passion was about pediatrics and not necessarily in becoming a physician. I'm particularly interested in neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and Hospice care nursing for primarily two reasons:
1) I am most comfortable and myself around children and people much older than me, compared to people close to my age. 
2) I would like to be by someone's side as they enter life or are new to it and be a welcoming presence. I would also like to be a comforting companion by someone's side as they are leaving on to the next great adventure. I find these two spots to be privileged and beautiful!
