I'm not really sure where to start with this one.
So many great ideas for student engagement, and I love the idea of having preset groups for collaboration.
The unit planning was wonderful and a perfect example for this week as we aim to organize our own units.
There was obvious building of skills towards a final project. And even the smaller projects were interesting with opportunity for peer and self reflection.
The platform confused me however as I've never worked with any of them before. I wasn't sure what students were seeing and what was teacher workspace, and there appeared to be several different platforms that students had to have access to and check regularly.
I like the idea of being able to write on student work though. A definite plus.

Great tool with a large volume of ideas. I like the ideas of doing many different things in OneNote rather than changing platforms.
I am not sure if students can hand in assignments through OneNote. Presenter did mention a personal portfolio which is wonderful but can students hand in individual assignment(s) or is everything place in their personal portfolio?
The cohort collaboration idea is great, having students online and face-face students working together is a agreat way of having all students connecting together.

Like Lesley, I haven't used OneNote before. It seems like a cool tool for collaboration though. It also seems to have lots of interesting tools for quick feedback which I also like.
I've used Parlay before and I think it is a great tool. It is a great opportunity for students to share ideas. It also has some pre-programmed content and discussion boards which can be very helpful.
The Unit itself is great. Really well planned and organized. It seems easy for students to check Learning Goals and Success Criteria so they know exactly what is expected of them. Well structured.

I really like the layout as it is simple and seems to follow a structured design via tasks. Each task is separate and follows a similar design creating familiarity for the students which is a key element of a course. Familiarity but not necessarily repetition. I also like the breakdown of week to week (much like this course).
I think that the idea of further development is an element of preference from teacher to teacher. I've not used OneNote but have been told that it is quite powerful as a note-taking/organizational platform. Obviously this requires an account as does most other 'office-like' software. I do like the simplicity of the 3 softwares used. Too many becomes a challenge. Personally my questions relate to the amount of refreshing of links required when linking to classroom. Often this can be an issue with multiple sections of the same course. As long as he is able to keep organized and update when necessary, this should not be an issue. No questions sadly at the moment.
