Dendrite: Dendrite is a short, branching, tree-like projection that receives signals (electrical or chemical) from other neurons or sensory receptors and conducts them towards the neuron's cell body.

Nucleus: The nucleus is an organelle within the cell body (soma) that contains the cell's genetic material (DNA) and controls the neuron's growth and activities, acting as the cell's "control center".

Soma: The soma, or cell body, is the central part of the cell that contains the nucleus and other vital organelles.

Node of Ranvier: intermittent unmyelinated gaps along the axon.

Scwann cell: A Schwann cell is a type of glial cell that creates the myelin sheath around the axons of neurons in the peripheral nervous system.

Myelin: Myelin is an insulating layer, or sheath that forms around nerves, including those in the brain and spinal cord.

Axon: The long threadlike part of a nerve cell along which impulses are conducted from the cell body to other cells.

Axon terminal: An axon terminal is the specialized, branched ending of an axon in a neuron that transmits signals to other neurons or target cells.

The demonstration shows how lungs expand what I did was I drew lungs on a bag and put a straw in it and breathed into it. It shows how lungs expand.

What does the respiratory system do? The respiratory system helps you breathe, the nose and the mouth are for air intake the pharynx and larynx are air passageways, the trachea and bronchi get direct air, the lungs where gas exchange occurs in the alveoli ,and the diaphragm and chest muscles for breathing. What makes up the respiratory system? The trachea, capillaries, and bronchioles all make up the tissues and cells in the respiratory system.
