 Title of Graded Reader: Cover photo, level and short description   | Macmillan Readers: Treasure Island  Elementary. The novel is divided into 6 parts for a total of 34 chapters: Jim is the first-person narrator of all, except for chapters 16-18 which are narrated by Doctor Livesey. The protagonist and narrator of the novel, Jim Hawkins, is a 14 year old boy who lives with his family in the inn "Admiral Benbow", overlooking the sea in a village near Bristol. The story tells the adventures that followed the discovery of an old treasure map by Jim, in the trunk of the old sailor named Billy, a guest at the inn run by her parents.
