I've been thinking about our discussion a couple of weeks ago particularly around the board of trustees. I mentioned this in my small group, but it was also mentioned on the other group's jamboard. It seems like there is a disconnect between the board and the rest of the CCA community. I wonder what it would mean to build bridges that better connect the CCA board members with the community they serve. How do we bring more community voices to the board without asking too much of faculty, students, and staff who are already at capacity. Board business is so entrenched in the status quo–things are done a certain way because that is how they've always been done. How do we disrupt this in a way that is productive for everyone and helps inform the board's decision making? What role do restorative practices play in all of this?
