This begins to change as she is weakened and retrained by Petruchio's taming methods.

Katherine in the end of the story learns to be obedient and realizes men are supposed to be the masters of authority. Proof of this is when she obeys Petruchio's wishes when Grumio told her Petruchio demanded her presence. She enters willingly saying "You sent for me, sir? Is there something you'd like me to do for you"(5,2,109). She also states that the actions of Bianca and the widow are "disrespectful stance toward the man who is your lord, your king, your governor tarnishes your beauty" (5,2, 146- 147) This is different from the way Bianca comes in because she is very sassy and out of character.

In conclusion Katherine does change and finds her place in society understanding her independence in Elizabethan society and that supporting the male is key. Also that she is to aid him in his ventures and not cause her husband pain because he is working and living for her. This is similar to Arthur when he learned he was the true king of Camelot and drew Excalibur from the stone. I think this is similar because the end of the play is similar to a call to order or destiny.

This dramatic change leads to the showing of Bianca's inner shrew. She is then scolded at the end of the play by Katherine. She states whats she thinks like Katherine had done by stating "For shame! What kind of loyalty is this?" (5,2,134). "The more fool for you betting on my loyalty" (5,2,138). I acquainted her attitude in the end of the story similar to a back stabber.
