They wanted equal-rights legislation for African Americans since the Reconstruction period. Racial segregation is when people go after one race and make it so they are separated from others; such as bathrooms, water fountains, and schools. Also, they had to sit in the back of the bus. The Magisterium is the magic school that Cal did not want to get into but he ended up getting selected to go in anyways. Cal needs to figure out who is fake and who is real. Cal found a wolf that did not attack him so it kind of made it seem like he was like it. Cal found a wolf that was evil but did not attack him. It attacked everybody else. At the end of The Iron Trial Cal finds out who he really is.
