her as you can see we have the number 13845.
we want 13845 in groups of 10s.
how i do it is,
how many 0s does 10 have
1 duuuu!
so we go 1 along the number and put a line through the middle of the number like i did bellow.
so there is 1384 10s
and a separate group of 5 because 5 does not make up 10!
what if we used the same number but it was split into 100s?
you do the same thing BUT you have 2 0s! so you move twice!
so you would have 138  groups of 100! and a separate group of 45 because 45 does not make up 100!

YAY!
