“through the valley” by shawn james is a song about a post apocalyptic world, and that all life is damned. In the song it is stated,”I walk through the valley of the shadow of death/...I walk beside the still waters and they restore my soul,/but I know when I die my soul is damned/.” The world is barron and only still waters are left such as ponds, puddles and now empty,still lakes. No matter what happens the soul of this person is damned along with their world. This world is a truly dead world and all that inhabit it are damned.

“Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again,” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is about a character named Christine coming to terms with her grief as she accepts her father’s death. In the song it states, “Too many years / Fighting back tears /  Why can’t the past just die?”  She will now move on from the “Angel Of Music” who she suspected was her father’s spirit. After years of grief from her father’s death she lets him go and that’s the beauty of the moment.

The theme, or main message, of “Impossible” by James Arthur, is about how even though one may trust the one that they love, it does not mean that they will not get betrayed or hurt. Giving your all is very important because you may get stabbed by the person you least expect. As the song states, “Write it on the sky line / All we had is gone now / Tell them I was happy / And my heart is broken.”  It means that the pain caused from a lost love and trust is worse than physical pain, and expected pure love which ends up being impossible. I believe this means that you can reach for a star, but you may be hurt or even you might burn your hand reaching for that star. But what I really think those lines mean is that when you lose in a relationship, you originally are happy until it’s gone, and it will leave your heart broken.

  “Fire and Ice,” by Robert Frost, is about how is either choosing not to care too much or to be angry about how the world ends. As the poem states, “I think I know enough of hate/ To say that for destruction ice/ Is also great/ And would suffice.” The people would want to know what they think the future of the world & how it will end. People don’t care or they do care about the end of the world & either it is something important or not important to talk about and if they are or not interested. 

 The lines that are close to me is when in the song Sam Smith sings, “ But every time you hurt me/ The less that I cry/ And every time you leave me / The quicker these tears dry.” Every time he was broken up with he got over it faster and wasn’t affected by it after awhile he got used to it. They relate to me because after the 3rd relationship i was in i started to get use to it and just gave up.

 In “Too Good at Goodbye” by Sam Smith The main message was about getting left by the person you love. The song means alot to me because in the past I had been left a lot. In all of the lines that were in the song they all stated what I went through.

The song “Love Me Again,” by John Newman,  tells a message about how a guy and his significant other love each other but their family and friends don't want them both to be with each other. As song say, “ I need to know now can you love me again” this means that the guy is asking her if she could still be with him as soulmates again. They separate but get back together because the guy didn’t want to lose the girl so he fought for what he wanted and tried so  hard and succeed. They both ran away living there life together. 

I respect the decision of the guy because he fought for what he wanted 

I like the way he didn’t care of what other people told him he made his own choices 

Same with the girl she wanted to be with him and she also fought for him
