The reason I went to this session is because currently in my unit in Digital Photography I am currently doing a unit called "Images That Move" where we are filming a music promotional video with music artists, and what I wanted to aim to do was to play around with a DJI Gimbal, and get a feeling on how to use them properly before filming on my own with no guidance in my Digital Photography course, since I have little to no experience with them. Using the gimbal with two hands seemed a lot easier. ISO/Aperture/Shutter.

ISO effects how sensitive the sensor is to light, effecting the shutter speed, however making images more and more grainy as the ISO number goes up. ISO 100 would be used in a well lot scenario whereas ISO 6400 would be used in dark environments. 

Shutter speed effects how long the shutter is open for when you pull the trigger, and how much light you;'re letting in for a certain duration of time. This needs adjusting most of the time, to get to the middle of the exposure indicator when you look through the viewfinder.

Aperture is focussing on the depth of field of an image, to see what is in focus and what isn't. Its a good way to be able to use the latest equipment for a reasonable price. It was cool to see the different cameras sony had on display. I'm personally a Canon user, and always have been, but it definitely made me feel more confident and more familiar with the sony menu systems and such.

With Sony, their cameras are a lot more compact since whereas before with DSLRS, they have a mirror in the cameras, and you can look through the viewfinder to see what you're shooting. However with Sony cameras they are going mirrorless, which brings the weight of the camera down by a lot. Instead of a viewfinder you are basically looking through a screen on the other end of the camera. Using F4 I was able to capture my model in perfect detail, making her face look very sharp and everything else not as sharp.  This is a great example of the use of depth of field. 

Since this has been photographed in studio with controlled lighting as well, there is no grain since my ISO is at 100, and my shutter speed is still quite fast. 

I have cropped the image down but there's still plenty of space left in the frame for my model to sit, and I think she dominates this image.
