Include books, films, and text by authors of different backgrounds into the curriculum. This gives students an opportunity to broaden their perspective.

Teach history from different cultural perspectives, encouraging critical thinking about what events affected specific cultures.

Create more avenues for multicultural themes and to be in your lesson plan. If you make the students learn about other perspectives, it can be done in all subjects.

Incorporate more learning opportunities for students who are having a hard time due to circumstances out of their control. This will help build community, trust, and the students overall academic level.

Have posters and other decorations up in your classroom that show that you are here to support all your students in the best way possible. They should feel comfortable enough to talk to you about almost anything.

Create a classroom agreement list, so the students can help set the expectation and also can easily understand and follow the expectations. This shows the students you respect their opinions.

Make sure all your language according to gender-neutral terms is correct and avoid stereotypes and other triggers. This will give your students respect.

When holidays of all cultures come around make sure you are explaining what the celebration is for and who is celebrating. This will expand their knowledge of all cultures.
