As the Jews were under Roman and Greek, in the start of both of the nations reign, there was someone who respected Jewish beliefs and allowed them to practice Judaism. These people were Alexander the Great, a Macedonian king who brought the arrival of Greek rule, and Heron who was a Jewish follower chosen as a rule under Roman rule.

However after these rulers died, they faced religious prejudice and had to find ways to counter their struggles. In addition, as Jewish people were under Roman and Greek rule they were allowed to stay in Judea. All through the struggle and torment under rule of the Romanians and Greek, Jewish people remained faithful to their religion and the conflicts made them even more devoted.

Contrasting The Jewish Under Roman And Greek Rule

Although there are many comparisons, the rule of the two nations have just as many things that allows you to differentiate against them.
Greek
For example, while under the rule of Greek, Jewish people (The Jews of Diaspora) adopted many Greek traditions, Greek culture, and their language. As a result of this, Jewish ideas spread throughout the Mediterranean world. Also while under Greek rule, in 176 b.c, Antiochus required Jews to worship many Greek gods and goddesses outside of their own religion. This was a direct cause of a large disagreement and eventually leading to many battles, which in the end, the Jewish won.
Roman
Romanian rule is different from Greek rule because although Jews were faced with challenges because of their religion, they did not choose to battle. Instead the Jews practiced the Torah's readings with even greater devotion. Jewish people also did not practice Judaism in the same way during the Roman time. This showed that under Romanian rule, Judaism was not an established religion like it was under Greek rule.
