According to the video it states "Twelve-year-old Sciama Peter prefers to stay in the family tent in this UN camp. She fled her home in Malakal three years ago when weeks of fighting which started in South Sudan's capital Juba reached her town. I saw a lot of bad things. What effect did the war have on the Sudanese children is by making them traumatized and depressed. How they are traumatized is In the video it states “i keep hearing the sound of guns. Her mother says Sciama hasn’t been the same since she’s arrived.” This shows that even though she fled her home and went to the camp she can still hear the gun shootings from when she was in Malakal. How they are depressed is in the text it states “ people here say displacement has led to teenagers attempting to take their own lives.” This shows that everything that happened to them has made them feel like maybe taking their own lives so that they can escape from the sadness and loss. Therefore this shows how the war affected the children of Sudanese.
