We divided our classes into 2-3 leveled flexible groups (within the class). Each group either met with teacher for a mini lesson on grammar or worked on an activity/individualized instruction at their level. This has been pretty successful in 8th grade. We usually block it for 2 days at a time. If group A meets with me on Monday, then group B will meet with me Tuesday.
