When I have to submit a written assigment I have some strategies; first of all I do a draft in which I do brain storming and organise that ideas with bullet points to make sure I don't forget anything. 
Then (in that draft) I think or I look for some specific vocabulary or some sinonims (so I don't repeat any word too much) that I reckon I should use in my final assigment to make it properly. 
Afterwards, I start conecting the previous ideas using connectors and the vocabulary/sinonims I have searched, always taking care about the grammar, the coherence of the text, etc. 

Another strategy that I use to use is to organise my information thinking about the structure my text should have (introduction, main part, examples and conclusion) and give my writing to another person to know if it has sense and it is easy to understand the message or not.

I was blank and I couldn't remember what information I should include, but after a few minutes structuring a draft with all the ideas and all the information, I was finally relaxed knowing that my cover letter was already taking shape. 

When I finished the cover letter I read it quickly to see if what I had written was coherent and I was quite satisfied with the result because, it was my first cover letter and it wasn't too bad. However, I noticed that I didn't talk too much about my personal skills and that there were other aspects of my professional experience that I could have included too. 

With respect to the instructions given by the teacher, I have to admit that thanks to having analysed other cover letters and thanks to the strategies discussed in class, I was able to write my cover letter faster than I thought I would be able to. 

Regarding the model I used, I have to say that it helped me as a guide even though it was not corrected and I knew it was not the best model the teacher had given us, but above all it helped me a lot with the structure of my letter. 

Otherwise, it is true that I missed to learn specific vocabulary of education, for example, how to write ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in English and also I missed to put some more connectors. 

Finally, I have to highlight that this activity has made me realise that, when we have to writte about a particular topic, it is very important to work previously in class on other examples of writings about that topic (or similar) in order to guide our students and give them a reference to use as a model to help them the moment in wich they have to deal with their own writing.

If so, you'll know that these apps collect data about your behaviour, your dates, your tastes... to match you with people who are compatible with you so that you can find "your better half" in a comfortable and simple way. 

Hang the DJ is the episode four of the fourth season of the famous series Black Mirror and offers us a futuristic vision of these known "dating apps" in which there is a "device" that, according to your experience, your personality, etc., sets you up dates to create perfect matches with a 99.8% compatibility. 

The episode begins with a date between Frank (Joe Cole) and Amy (Georgina Campbell), both new inside the device, having a date in a restaurant where after a funny dinner, some automatic golf carts take them to a small house where they must spend as much time as the device sees fit, together as a couple.  

All the dates from the device are like this: a dinner, followed by a trip to a house to live in until the expiry date of the relationship and back to square, it doesn't matter if you want to spend more time than the established time with a person, if the device indicates that your relationship will last 48 hours you will have to obey because the device is guarded by armed guards who will act in case of non-compliance with the rules. Which leaves you wondering; what would happen if any couple challenged the device? 

In my opinion it is the best episode of season four. I think this episode is very much based on San Junipero (fourth episode of season three) as it is two episodes where a machine is placed at the service of man using such technology to make people happy. 

In conclusion, this is one of those episodes that makes Black Mirror worth spending so much time with. A beautiful and joyful story that makes us reflect on the role of technology in our lives, how it will evolve in the future and, of course, on the importance of love, trust and valuing what we have.

It's true that I've never done a review of any kind before, so I haven't mastered either the formality or the structure of this kind of writing and it took me a while to find the most appropriate way to do the review, but I had fun writing it and feeling like a film "critic" (or in this case a Netflix "critic") giving an objective opinion about the episode and its plot. ]]> 2022-01-15 10:51:20 UTC https://padlet.com/andreabrubelda96/zo9s7h3uwn95jt81/wish/1993442165 The writing process andreabrubelda96 https://padlet.com/andreabrubelda96/zo9s7h3uwn95jt81/wish/1993448986 When it came to doing the research I have to say that we started off a bit lost and we didn't really know how to begin or where to start from. 

The beginning was a bit chaotic and we were quite overwhelmed because we were not familiar with this type of work and we didn't know where to start. We were also not sure which was the best topic to choose and we couldn't agree on it. 

Little by little and after reading several examples of research, it took shape and we could see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we spent a long time trying to give shape to the introduction.
