People that are called wassailers go around with a bowl filled with spiced ale, and would exchange it for food. The christmas tree in Trafalgar Square is probably one of the most famous Christmas trees in Britain. Children in Britain write letters to Santa, but not all send them to him, some burn the letters and then Santa reads the smoke. There’s three well known christmas foods, they are called: “Mince pies, Christmas cake and Christmas pudding.” The 26. december is called boxing day in Britain, the rich people pack the rest of the food they got on Christmas eve and give it to their servants.

Christmas day in America didn't become very popular until 1870, and in the 1930’s it looked like the ones today. And the Christmas season starts on black friday, black friday is the day after thanksgiving. Many Americans have big Christmas parties on the 24th. Here friends and neighbors meet to eat, dance, celebrate and wish each other Merry Christmas.

Christmas in Australia is different in a way, down under December is in the middle of summer. Because Christmas is celebrated in the warm summer, many people choose to celebrate the day outside or away from home, for example in gardens, at summer cabins or in parks. Some people actually choose to celebrate it at the beach.

In Australia they also decorate their houses with Christmas decorations. When Santa comes to Australia he gives the reindeers a rest and let's six white kangaroos (some people call it “boomers.”) They do still have Christmas carols, but some are changed because of the climate, like snow, winter and the cold can be changed.

I was at my grandma's home, I was like 7 or 8 years old. But I had put Pokémon cards on my wishlist, and then I got them. So I was pretty happy. I also celebrated Christmas that years christmas with my grandma’s brother. He also gave me some of the things I wanted for Christmas that year. But my other grandma hung up some things on my and my sister's doors. It was a kind of carpet with small presents for each day from the 1’st of December to the 24’th of December. That was my Christmas memory.
