He also showed Loyalty in Chapter 7, page 116, where he sneaked out of his barracks to his father and brother's, although he knew that based on what Plaszow was like, that act would no doubt get him killed if he was caught doing so.

Finally, Leon showed loyalty in Chapter 6, pages 110-111 by sneaking out of the ghetto to be with his family in the Plaszow Workcamp, even though the act was very risky, and he would have a severe punishment if he was to be caught.

I relate this story to a book I read a while back called something along the lines of "Reading the Stars" where a non-Jewish girl had to show loyalty to her best friend, who was Jewish through the hardships of WWII. These acts involved having her friend pretend that she was the non-Jewish girl's sister, and having her stow away across oceans to escape the Germans. More than once in the story the girl risked her life to save her best friend, and showed complete loyalty countless times.
