Question 1
Web 2.0 uses the read write web, blogs, web applications, rich media, viral media, taggingor Folksonomy while sharing content and focusing on communities.

The Web 3.0 standard uses semantic web, drag n drop mash ups, widgets, user behavior or Me-onomy, advertisement, user engagement, consolidates dynamic content and focuses on individuals.

Web 3.0 uses the ‘Data Web’ technology featuring structures data records that are publishable and reusable on the web through query-able formats like RDF, XML and micro formats. It is the stepping-stone to complete semantic web, which enables new levels of application operability, data integration and makes data openly linkable and accessible in the form of web pages. The complete semantic web stage expands the scope of both structured and un-structured content through OWL and RDF semantic formats.

The web 3.0 standard also describes the latest trends for artificial intelligence. Mass level use of technology is promptly visible here as in the case of an application that makes hit song predictions based on music websites of various colleges available on the net. Web 3.0 aims to highlight intelligence in an organic fashion through the interaction of people.

Can web 3.0 extend itself to the semantic web concept using artificial intelligence? There is plenty on ongoing research to develop software, which uses reasoning based on intelligent agents and description logic. These applications perform all logical and reasoning operations using the set of rules, which expresses logical relationship between the data on the net and their concepts.

Question 2
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP):

enables Internet technology to be used for telephone voice transmission over the Internet or private networks. VoIP offers the advantage of avoiding tolls charged by local and long-distance telephone networks. VoIP provides businesses an opportunity to reduce costs because they no longer have to maintain separate networks or provide support services and personnel for each different type of network. It gives organizations flexibility because phones can be added or moved to different offices without rewiring or reconfiguring networks.

Virtual private networks:

are secure, encrypted, private networks that have been configured

within a public network to take advantage of the economies of scale and management facilities of large networks, such as the Internet. VPNs are low-cost alternatives to private WANs. VPNs give businesses a more efficient network infrastructure for combining voice and data networks.

Question 3
In personalization, merchants can target their marketing messages to specific individuals by adjusting the message to a person's name, interests, and past purchases. For example, Amazon.com greets each logged in user with their user name. With customization, merchants can change the delivered product or service based on a user's preferences or prior behavior. The Wall Street Journal Online allows you to select the type of news stories you want to see first and gives you the opportunity to be alerted when certain events happen. The ability of Internet technology to track customer behavior at Web sites, along with records of purchases and other behavior, allows merchants to create a detailed profile of a customer. These profiles can be used to create unique personalized Web pages that display content or ads for products or services of special interest to each user, improving the customer's experience and creating additional value. The business value of personalization is reduced marketing costs, as you spend only the money to target customers that are more likely to be receptive and are more profitable, and improved sales results, from increased customer response to personalized sites that better serve their own purposes and shopping needs. Personalization can achieve some of the benefits of using individual salespeople for dramatically lower costs.

Question 4
The Internet offers many examples of how groups of people can work together in surprisingly efficient ways. Take Wikipedia, the user-generated, Web-based encyclopedia. Or Linux, the open source software project that encourages contributions from individual developers. Even companies that don’t rely directly on the “wisdom of crowds” can benefit from collaborating with their customers. Through research at MIT’s Center for Collective Intelligence, the authors of this paper examined nearly 250 Web-enabled collaborative projects to better understand how these systems function and evolve. They found that people who choose to participate in these projects are motivated by one of three things: a desire for money, love for a particular project, or the longing for recognition in the community. Understanding these motivations can help companies figure out the best way to cull the collective intelligence of their customers. For example, online movie rental company Netflix is offering US$1 million to anyone who can improve its algorithm for recommending DVDs to customers by at least 10 percent. Amazon has improved its site by offering users the ability to review products, which builds a sense of trust and community between the company and its customers.

Q1
Difference between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0

Website development is a very booming and challenging field. If you are not grabbing latest technologies, you will out from information technologies market. As a popular website development company of India Hans Cyber technologies web designer experts always share there views for learner. Recently our experts analyzed that website designing strategy completely changed as web 3.0 launched which has various advance terms user compatible on the comparison of web 2.0. As per our experts analysis web 2.0 is read write base technology in which user or on line viewer can read, write and post their comments. But in web 3.0 website became more user friendly as it has various other features such as custom search, portability, dynamic content, widgets drag and drop etc.

WEB 2.0 features

The Widely Read-Write Web

Focused on Communities

Blogs

Sharing Content

XML, RSS

Web Applications

Tagging (Folksonomy)

Google

Cost per click

Rich Media, Viral

WEB 3.0 features

The Portable Personal Web

Focused on Individuals

Lifestream

Consolidating Dynamic Content

Widgets, Drag & Drop Mashups

The Semantic Web

User Behavior

Netvibes

User Engagement

Q2

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)

:enables Internet technology to be used for telephone voice

transmission over the Internet or private networks. Its aim, like the intuitive clerk described above, should be to take what it knows about the shopper and offer relevant help in the form of better search results, specific product recommendations, or even product descriptions that help the buyer.

2.Actually personalise
Personalization experts use the term “crowd wisdom” to describe data collected about a retailer’s overall user trends. Crowd wisdom provides insights that can be applied when the site does not know anything about a new visitor, and while this data can be useful, it as not related to individual needs or desires but rather trends and generalizations.

3.Engage in real time
It may be true that the more a merchant knows about a particular shopper the better that merchant will be able to make recommendations or customize the shopping experience. But do not let that be an excuse to wait to begin interacting with shoppers in a personal way. Rather merchants should seek to engage shoppers with personalized interactions in real time.

The demands of customers have been increasing day by day and today they even want their shopping experience to be personalized and customized to their preferences. Today’s customers won’t mind giving their personal information if businesses can help them enjoy a personalized shopping experience. In fact about 73% of customers are ready to do business with companies that use their personal information in order to make their shopping experiences more relevant.

The number of ecommerce websites and the amount of choices each of these make available can make it really time-consuming for customers to find the product they want to buy. Each of these customers would need personal shoppers to assist them in their shopping experience. While it would be very difficult for traditional stores to make available personal shoppers for thousands of customers, ecommerce websites can do this quite easily. By adopting the right techniques and customer service skills these websites can give the personal shopping treatment to thousands of customers, at the same time. It is only a matter of investing in the right kind of customer experience technology.

Customer service is the main thing most businesses focus on, to survive in the market today. Personalized service is even better if you want to meet the expectations of your customers. Unlike traditional retail stores, the online world makes it easy for businesses to collect information about a customer and understand his buying behavior. All you need to do is check the page on which a customer tends to linger and keep a tab on the items he looks for. If you do this, you will be able to make the right suggestions depending upon the pattern of his behavior. Meanwhile, you will also be answering the questions of the customers and listening to their valuable feedback on your customer service. By doing so it could be easier for you to convert your visitors into sales.

Apart from Personalization, customization is also a must for ecommerce customers. Customers have different preferences and a product that is most preferred by a customer may not be wanted by another customer. Ecommerce businesses need to help customers to customize the features of the products when they run a search or filter. By enabling this, you are helping the customers to see only what they want to see. This will make it comfortable for them to do business with you and it will also increase their loyalty.

The key to success for any business is to make each and every customer feel special and cared for. If you have developed customer service skills, this could be very much possible. Yet, personalization and customization are very much required to lift the image of your business that one notch higher, in the minds of the customers. Most businesses understand the importance of personalization and customization and take the necessary steps. You need to take these steps too if you want to enhance the customer experience. If not, you will only be driving away your customers to your competitors. Even research says that 89% of customers have started doing businesses with competitors because of poor customer experience.

Q4
Networking sites sell banner, video, and text ads; user preference information to marketers; and products such as music, videos, and e-books. Corporations set up their own social networking profiles to interact with potential customers and “listen” to what social networkers are saying about their products, and obtain valuable feedback from consumers. At user-generated content sites, high-quality video content is used to display advertising. Online communities are ideal venues to employ viral marketing techniques.

Creating sites where thousands, even millions, of people can interact offers business firms new ways to market and advertise products and services, and to discover who likes or dislikes their products. In a phenomenon called “the wisdom of crowds” some argue that large numbers of people can make better decisions about a wide range of topics or products than a single person or even a small committee of experts. In marketing, the wisdom of crowds concept suggests that firms should consult with thousands of their customers first as a way of establishing a relationship with them, and second, to better understand how their products and services are used and appreciated. Actively soliciting customer comments builds trust and sends the message to customers that the company cares what they are thinking and that customer advice is valuable.
