The Working Man is described as a business man in Japan; a man who works long hours, works over-time often, and does not take the days off given to him. This is demonstrated as Japan believes that a business is run by a group and not by a single individual, leaving employees feeling guilty for leaving work early. 

North American's tend to work their 9-5 hour days and taking advantage of their sick days and vacation days.

These are just some examples of factors that impact a woman's work experience and choice.
