Somebody: The cowboy, who had ridden into town, had his horse stolen by somebody while he was inside the bar.

But: Despite threatening the patrons in the bar with his gun, nobody confesses to stealing the horse.

So: The thief returns the horse to its original spot outside the bar, fearing the consequences the cowboy mentioned.

Then: The cowboy, satisfied that his horse is back, prepares to leave, leaving the patrons relieved and the barman curious about what happened in Texas.
