The first song that I seriously liked in my life, sung it all the time, was obsessed with the video clip was... America by RAMMSTEIN.
When I was a little girl, I would listen to heavy metal and hard rock, due to my older brother's likes. Thanks to this trip to Ireland, I also fell in love with Irish folk and Irish folk-rock.
My dad, on the other hand, listens only to classical music, like Strauss, Mozart, Vivaldi, Chopin, etc.
I was raised in this mix in the early years, believing that modern music is terrible and old is always better. I was allergic to hip-hop, rap, and pop.
Later, however, I started to feel the music in another way. I began to sing, and as it is tough for a girl with my capabilities to sing hard rock, I started to sing church songs, and I found myself feeling the music with every core. Later I discovered dance, and Shakira, Beyonce, and JLo came into my life. Those were also the times when I got back to Irish folk. :)
Torn by many feelings, I also fell in the world of Broadway and loved almost every musical ever written. To this day, I believe that musicals are perfect for people who want to feel that music can affect your every sense.
Finally, I reconciled with rap, thanks to Hamilton!
