The voices only speak my first name in various tones.
Even weirder are the voices I recognize as people still living (i.e. my father).
Once I heard another reelative's voice call my name years ago while taking a nap. He said my name with a chuckle and I recognized the voice as belonging to my stepfather, Paul.
After arising from bed and walking into the living room, my father informed me that Paul had just passed away in the hospital from a huge bout with pneumonia!
I once had a professor who commented on this type of mystery and he had no doubt it was paranormal based on his own experiences with  phantom voices.
Let me tell you these voices are right next to you and sound as real as an alarm clock going off on the nightstand. I used to answer the voices calling my name with a "yeah??", but no one ever answered.
Keep in mind, I am not a drug user and I never have conversations with   people that do not exist. But even if I had been diagnosed with such a mental illness, how would you explain my late stepfather's voice awakening me right before he died?
