In paragraph two it states" boy’s search for his father through that search is a  workable meaning for his  life as a Black American.” This evidence shows that he has to go on a journey to find the real him so he could better under his past and future. The text also states," After I had sat at my fathers grave and spoken to him through Africa's red soil, that I could circle back and evaluate these early stories for myself." This piece of evidence shows that when his dad died he got all the motivation he needed too find the truth about his childhood and himself. This is what the author means when he says " a persona interior journey."
