Over the last academic year I had one employment at Forever 21 as a temporary sales assistant over the christmas period. It was external (self-directed). My roles included working in the fitting rooms, tidying/organising the store, customer service and general assistance. Working here enabled me to develop and build skills in teamwork as well as working independently, taking initiative, customer service (talking to/advising them), and working under pressure in busy proximities.

Climate activist in India:

In this programme I'd learn about climate change, get a better understanding of forces that rule the world, and make a contribution to alleviating the consequences of climate change in communities in India. During my time at Winestead Hall I would be part of developing the Climate Centre at CICD.

1st period - 6 weeks: Training and studies at CICD. Planning the service period. The 1st period will be both theoretical and practical.

2nd period - 11 weeks: Service period in India. Working together with Humana People to People in India at one of their environmental projects. This period will mainly be practical, but there will also be time for investigations in India.

3rd period - 4 weeks: Conclusion and information work - sharing your experiences with the next volunteers and the public.

Exhibitions and galleries assistant:

London College of Communication. Part-time. 17.5 hours per week.

My roles would include being responsible for preparing gallery spaces and delivering aspects of internal and external exhibitions and events. This will include high-profile and large-scale exhibition showcases across multiple venues, and other events, exhibitions and displays. Part of this role will be supporting the installation and take down of the LCC Summer Shows and LCC Postgraduate Shows. These large-scale festivals involve exhibitions and events, and take place in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. I would work closely with the Exhibitions and Galleries Coordinator to deliver these festivals to an exceptional standard.
