Title of book: Catching a Story Fish

I noticed that the author wrote this book in little poems. There are chapters, but each poem has a title. The first chapter is called "The Big Mistake"
I just started this book and learned that this girl was forced to move (by her parents) from Alabama to Illinois. At home her friends know her as Keet. Her grandfather gave her that nickname because Parakeets are very chatty so he calls her Keet-Keet Parakeet. After moving to her new house, Keet is very unhappy and has not wanted to talk a lot at all.

In the poem called "A box big enough" I could really get a sense of how much she missed and loved her friends. She wanted to have a box big enough to take all of these people and memories she loved with her to her new home. Each sentence was started with "a box big enough to..." all of these things she wanted to bring are things that would be nearly impossible to box up. For example, she wanted "a box to hold the egg-gold evenings when all my friends played tag. And we ran, ran, ran, pinwheeling brown legs swinging..."

I think this chapter was crazy because there was a evil cat that put a bomb near a cop and his dog and the cop said witch wire should I cut the dog said GRRRR so the cop said I guess that means green so he cut it and the bomb exploded, Right in cops face and dogs body. The doctor said boo hoo hoo cop your head is dying and dog your body is dying so when everything seemed lost the nurse lady had a great idea we can cut dogs head off and sew it on cops body they have unleashed a new crime stoping hero

This chapter was also crazy because now the evil cat saw people reading books and he saw that the people were getting smarter so he took all the books so he could get smarter. All the people were getting dumb all the stores had weird names. So the cat robbed the bank and got rich. Dog man was not getting dumb so he stopped the evil cat and made him give all the books back. Now people are smart again hooray for DOG MAN.

Judy Moody and her little brother Stink are at their house in the middle of a storm. Panicking for no reason, they're thinking of what Nancy drew and what the encyclopedia would do. Once the storm finished, Stink started to tease Judy about how scared she was even though he was scared also. My thought was "didnt he know that he was scared too?". Stink sometimes doesn't know what he's saying.

Name: Matthew Young Title of book: The Secret Keepers Author: Trenton Lee Stewart Reaction to reading 1: The book I am reading is about a boy named Reuben and right now he is in search of "treasure" of a person named Penelope. When he gets to the place where the treasure is he finds a letter from Penelope as he reads it he finds out that there are two watches instead of one (he has that can turn him invisible) together they grant everlasting youth. What I predicted is that he is he is supposed to be considered the enemy to the family of Penelope. Reaction to reading 2: Reuben is in the cave where the treasure is and he is realizing that the water is starting to flood the cave (the cave is below water and once it reaches high tide ......... your gone) he ends up falling almost breaking some bones but the water saves him I don't think that he has enough time to escape. Reaction to reading 3: This chapter was crazy Jack, Quint, Dirk and June are being chased by a giant mutant worm in a mall(they are in a zombie apocalypse) the group splits up and tries to hide only to find Quint and Jack hid in Game Stop. After Jack takes about every thing he wants they realize they are not alone. That's where the chapter ends.

Reaction to Reading 1: In the book it's so amazing how Serafina broke metal with her bare hands while in a small cage in the middle of the woods where the hooded man kept her hostage. The hooded man hid there so he would never be found by the people in Biltmore estate. I'm hoping they will get to find out who is the old hooded man with his black magic powers and shape shifting powers. Sometimes I think Serafina is going to fight the hooded man and see who it is!! >U<

The book so far is about this girl named Ally that doesn't try to be bad, she just is sometimes.The really unbelievable thing in these few chapters is that her teacher is pregnant, and everyone in her class is giving her cards, Ally accidentally gave her a sympathy card, just because she thought it was pretty, and she did't know what a sympathy card was.There are also these really mean girls in Ally's class that make fun of her all the time.For example, for favorite book character day, Ally dressed up as Alice in wonderland,and the mean girls called her Alice in blunderland, all day.

In this chapter,Ally got a new teacher,he seems to like Ally,and he wants to help her.the mean girls in her class just seemed to get meaner,and meaner. Ally brought in a coin that is very special to her, it is a SILVER PENNY,her dad gave her that penny.the date that it was minted was 1943,it said in the text that it was made during world war 2:)

He also brought some back as salves . 3:my reaction is that Christopher Columbus discovered America . His third try was a failure and he was sent to jail in Spain. The fourth trip was his last journey. He had to give 9/10 of the money to the Queen of Spain.

He said that everything he has was a hand down from Rodrick. Also he was way behind in learning. Reaction to reading 2:What I read today was about how Manny was born and he still does not like other kids because he does not want to share his toys. One time he locked himself in there dogs running room with a fence so his friends that came over that day did not have to share his toys with them. Also Manny has these imaginary friends with ridiculous names and Greg`s mom acts like they are real. Reaction to reading 3:In this time Greg's dad's brother came over and started to sleep on the couch which is where Rodrick normally sleeps. They were late for their shift,so they were 100 yards away bimb exploded,killing Twill 's husband, and Bonnies family. The two P uniforms were meant for Twill and her husband.they went to Bonnie's and got uniforms and caught a train t 6 then walked the rest of the way, Bonnie broke her foot.they are looking for 13. Will their actually be people underground like they said?If so what will they do?And also they are doing a pretty good job hiding this from the Capitol.Reaction 3:Thread(the new head peacekepper) somehow gave power to the electric fence,and did it while Katniss was outside the district,then she took a leap of faith(literally) and absolutely failed:( She landed on her back and touched the fence,and broke something:(How did Thread turn on the fence,and does he know that Katniss still goes out there?Reaction 4: Unfortunately, nothing important happened while I was reading. :( Sorry I'm having a fun dip right now. :) All that happened was Katniss went home, 2 peacekeepers were waiting,along with Haymitch and Peeta,peacekeepers told Katniss to tell Gale that the fence had power.Haymitch and Peeta,(espiacally Haymitch) were acting really gittery,though.Peeta took one of Katniss's peppermits,tossed the bag to Haymitch, Haymitch took a HANDFUL of peppermints,then gave the bag to Prim. I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K Rowling.

Reaction 1: In this chapter...
Harry was saved by the Weasley Twins and Ron Weasley. The way they "saved" Harry was very peculiar, like most Harry Potter books are. I also read part of the next chapter. ( It was WAAAAYY too long to read in ten minutes!) In this chapter it explains how Harry was liked there and the unusual things they did at The Burrow. Ms. Weasley even spoiled Harry with FOOD! Harry also learned how to de-gnome a garden, and one gnome bit his hand in the process of learning. He has just figured out that Ron is very supportive for the Chudley Cannons Quidditch Team, which are ninth in the league.

Tonight I continued to read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K Rowling.

I read the 5th Chapter, The Whomping Willow. I wasn't sure about this chapter's name and no predictions popped into my head.

In this chapter...

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley missed the Hogwarts Train because they couldn't get on to Platform 9 and 3/4 (Nine and three quarters). In the text they explained that the entrance was rock solid, so, they ran into it in front of a bunch of muggles. After many failed attempts, they started the flying car and followed the train to Hogwarts. Then, when they were almost to the Hogwart's entrance, the old car's engine failed, and they ran into a tree that was flailing its tree limbs at the car. So they had to run for it when the car could barely be moved in.

That was all I read last night of the Whomping Willow.

Reaction 1: This chapter is very funny because this two friends make a hot dog a size of a bed i mean seriously. So they could win a food making contest. Also the main character fly's in a hot dog truck with his best Alien friend. And when they show up for the contest a guy steels the hot dog how. The Alien who was holding the hot dog was like as big as the hulk you cant just steel that from a huge being.

Reaction 2: This chapter is even weirder then the first because two missiles fly towards the flying hot dog truck. Then Cosmoe pulls the brakes and the rockets crash into each other and blow up. Then Cosmoe sees that robots come abroad and Cosmoe get this weird glove and this blue slime comes out and he hits the robot and boom dead.

Reaction 3: in this chapter the queen wants to capture them but its fails. so they escape and get back to making hot dogs. why would you make hot dogs when a whole army is chasing you this is not right.

I am still reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Today I read the rest of The Whomping Willow.

The next class after Herbology (Professor Sprout) Harry had was Defense Against The Dark Arts (Professor Lockhart). They were working with pixies. Professor Lockhart and all the students were hiding under their desks after Professor Lockhart's spell (Peskipiksi Pesternomi) did not work. The pixies were very troublesome and ruined the whole classroom. The even hung Neville Longbottom on the candelabra. Even after class Professor Lockhart asked them to round up the rest of the pixies, causing Ron to get bit by a pixie on the ear.

Reaction to reading 2: when he was sitting on one side of the lake he saw a overhang that would be perfect for a home so he got lot and built walls around it and it worked but he was still hungry so he went to find berries and found very tart berries and threw up that night then the next day he found raspberries and while he was eating the raspberries he heard a noise behind him and then turned and saw a black bear on its hind leg then walk by him and ate the berries it was scary to even read it it was so cool then he went home and brought some berries to eat later then it got dark and that is where I stopped reading.

There is a dragon that is named Turtle and he is a Rainwing.He is trying to leave the palace and trying to find an escape.There is a Nightwing named Darkstalker and he is trying to find Turtle and hurt him and take over the palace were Turtle and his family's lives.His brother has an enchanted stick so that that Darkstalker wont hurt Turtle and remeber him as well.I'm hoping Turtle will be able to escape the palace and Darkstalker.
