Inhibits growth as most people are serfs and bound to the land, nobody moves up and down the chain and gains power, everything stays as the ‘status quo’. This prevents people from having any incentives to grow economically as a country.

Positive: growth because one person can make decisions and get things done efficiently. A lot of power and money coming in without much effort.

Negatives: not enough people coming together to try and rule the huge country. A lot of exploitation, slavery and its one or the other. You are wealthy, or a peasant. New generations can’t properly be brought up due to children being born into poverty and exploitation.
