No its not fair. Technically because certain states don't count as much so different peoples views from different states don't necessarily get as much representation as others do. But on the opposite point of view others from small states get more representation than if there wasn't an electoral college

I think that the Electoral College is not a fair way to elect the president of the United States. Think that if someone wins the popular vote but not the electoral vote they should be president because the popular vote is based on what all the people want. The Electoral College can let someone win with only 11 states which is not even half of the states but shows the popular vote more accurately based off of population in each state.

No, it is not fair because some states don't count as much as others. The president could win the popular vote but could not win the electoral college. The popular vote should be who gets the most votes because that is what the people are deciding.

No, because individuals do not vote directly for the president, but instead vote for electors who will elect for them. I think it's weird how you don't need even half (just 11) states to win. it doesn't give much importance to the some of the other states. Also, if the president is trying to get a state, they either get all of it, or none, so the votes in that country may be so close, but all the points will go the one that barely won.

I think it is a fair way, it is a good way to balance voting between the citizens and congress. It prevents someone unworthy of the position ,according to congress, being elected by just the citizens, because not all of the voters are completely educated on the different candidates. It also gives smaller states more rights since every electoral vote counts,

No, because some states don't count as much as other states like California counts as 55 votes but South Dakota only counts as 3 votes. This shows that Electoral College is not a fair way to vote because you only need 11 states to win the election. I think it is still fair because the smaller states are protected in a close election because every vote counts.

No its not fair because the decision on who wins the election should be based on popular vote not just electoral votes because the election winner should reflect what the people want and not just the people in the electoral college. But there is good things and bad things that come with the electoral college and its fair to take either side because the electoral college is good in protecting little states from having the more representation then they would have had if the election decision was based on popular vote.

I think it is fair because the popular vote is based off of what the candidate says they will do which can convince some people over others and the Electoral College vote is from people that understand politics and the way that things are and they can decide if what the person is saying they will do is best for the country and for the people. Also, it helps protects smaller states and states with a smaller population because it gives them a bigger say in the election even though they are smaller or the state has a smaller population.

No, the Electoral College is not fair, because when you vote, you are voting for electors, which means the majority vote wins, when it shouldn't be winner takes all. It should be winner gets majority, so the vote is fair. If you win the popular vote, I feel that should be how the election should be determined, not by who wins the electoral vote.

I believe it is fair because it gives the people a say and the congress a say. The congress is more knowledgeable of the government than some people so its kind of a even playing field. 435 of the votes are from representatives, 100 are from senators and 3 are from the district of Columbia. It also protects the smaller states. Therefore making the votes fair.

Yes i think this is a fair way to vote. This gives both congress and citizens a chance to voice their opinion. A lot of young voters are not fully educated on the candidates and their plans so this can also prevent us from electing the wrong person.

I think having the electoral college is a fair way to elect the president because it counts for the amount of people in each state to be represented for and it gives more of a justified vote because the electoral college members understand politics better and it makes it so even if a president wins popular vote they could still loose the election because they didn't get enough electoral votes and the fact of having a electoral college makes say for the smaller states.

Because of the process of the Electoral college and the result show show that at the end, votes from the populations don't count. Even if the candidate get the popular vote, but the Electoral College doesn't vote for that person, they not going to win. This can show the conflict about the purpose of the constitution. It is no longer the government ' of the people, by the people, for the people. ' anymore.
