Primitive Communism - the small groups of pre-historic humans in which everyone is roughly on the same social standing with no exploitation of different classes. Survival is ranked as the most important. The basis of concepts like private ownerships and property are formed when discoveries like fire and basic agriculture forms.
Slavery - the beginning of a society split into different classes, personal properties start to emerge. Slave-owners and slaves emerge and agriculture practices develop to support larger groups.
Example: Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome
Feudalism - Monarchy arises along with a small number of wealthy landowners, this small group of higher class members exploit the lower class members (peasants) who work the land. Another class, the merchant class, also emerges, growing their own businesses. Overtime the merchant class seizes power from the monarch and nobles in a bourgeoisie revolution.
Example: 1789 French Revolution
Capitalism - Production means are controlled by private businesses. The bourgeoise who own these private business exploit the workers , the proletariat. The capitalist drive for profit would cause the proletariat to develop a class consciousness and to revolt and over throw the bourgeoisie, thus resulting in a proletariat revolution.
Socialism - If the revolution is successful the class consciousness changes to a revolutionary consciousness. A form of democracy known as 'the dictatorship of the proletariat' would be put in place that would require strong revolutionary leaders.
Communism - is the final stage; a classless, stateless, and propertyless society with no big businesses or political power. It was a society where the populations made decisions for the benefit of the population. With the then living and working conditions of the Russian proletariats, Karl Marx's ideas were very attractive and appealing to men like Vladimir Lenin

Starving demonstrators went to the Russian capital Petrograd, with 90,000 men and women on strike clashed with the Russian police. The strike spread and mobs of workers destroyed police stations. Eventually troops of the Petrograd army intervened and in some clashes, demonstrators were killed. Due to the persistence of protestors, the wavering army of Petrograd switched support to the demonstrators. 
When Tsar Nicholas II formally abdicated his throne and the imperial government was forced to resign, the Provisional Government was formed.
