Day #1 Perspectives:

There are 4 different perspectives on the two-state solution which include Israeli-hard line; they oppose the solution and refuse to accept any Palestinians sharing the land because once, it was theirs. Palestinian- hard line perspectives believe that they have a stronger attachment to the land and they occupy the land as of now. Israeli/Palestinian- flexible perspectives however, believe that the two-state solution is a peaceful, negotiated resolution to the conflict and eliminates the dangerous one-state vision.

Day #2 Movement:

Checkpoints are connected to the theme of movement, specifically human and idea movement. For Palestinians, human movement can be tough for daily commute because checkpoints are overcrowded and heavily secured with armed Israeli soldiers making it take longer till you're actually let through. Palestinians are also harassed, humiliated, and sometimes even killed. For both, Palestinians and Israelis there's a conflict involving the checkpoints and idea movement or in this case, the lack of idea movement. The separation makes it difficult for Palestinians and Israelis to interact and bond. As shown in the documentary, eventually the twins couldn't go and see Farja; vice versa. Which ended the beginning of their friendship.

Day #3 Place:

The Israeli- Palestinian conflict connects to the theme of place because there's a clash between religions (Judaism and Islam). For instance, the wailing wall, which is sacred to Jews is a controversial topic on whether Jerusalem belongs to the Israelis or the Palestinians. This connects to human characteristics of place because it's their customs and beliefs. Another example of this is the water conflict involving the capture of the West Bank and Gaza, which denies Palestinians having access to water. This can connect to physical characteristics of place since water is an actual land form.

I believe the Two-State Solution is an acceptable solution to the Israeli- Palestinian conflict because it appears to offer the best chance for long term peace. The idea is that Israelis and Palestinians want to run their countries differently; Israelis want a Jewish state, and Palestinians want a Palestinian one. Because neither side can get what it wants in a joined state, the only possible solution that satisfies everyone involves separating Palestinians and Israelis.
