I hope to learn more about medications in general since pharmacology is a super interesting topic to me. I am nervous about the amount of medications that I will have to learn.

My name is Malorie Glenn. I am from Stony Point North Carolina and am in my second semester of the ABSN program. This semester I hope to learn how different medications interact with one another. I am nervous about the amount of information we are supposed to learn this semester especially such a short amount of time. Over the break I was able to get together with my extended family and was even able to meet the newest member who is only a month old.

My name is Devon de la Peza. I was born and raised in a small mountain town in Northern California. I Moved to NC when I joined the Army out of high school. This is my second semester of the ABSN. I hope to learn all I can about medication. Medication is both fascinating and stressful. I look forward to learning but dread not mastering them fast enough. I took full advantage of spending time with my daughter over the break we spent a lot of time on hikes and the greenway.

Hi! My name is Holden, and I am in my second semester of the nursing program. Through this course, I hope to develop a deeper understanding of how medications can help and harm patients throughout their care. I am nervous about my ability to apply the information I am learning about different drug classes to real-life scenarios and questions, but I am hopeful I will be able to overcome that. Something fun I have done recently is run the Bridge Run 10k in Charleston, SC. I look forward to a great semester!

I am Sashel Philpotts and I was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I am in my second and penultimate semester of the Accelerated BSN program. Hello Pharm class :),

My name is Kimberly Nunez. I was born in Queens NYC, in middle school I moved to the city of not so brotherly love, Philadelphia, and for about 7 years I have resided in Charlotte. This summer is my 2nd semester here at Queens, as an ABSN student. This course is particularly important to me because handling meds is a major part of the nursing role and being well educated on these medications is especially crucial for patient safety. However, what ultimately puts me on edge for this semester is the load of heavy classes including Pharm, Mental health, Peds, and Med Surg all with clinicals. On the other hand, my first language was Spanish so I must admit my spelling can be horrible and spell check tends to be a great friend at times. Fun fact, I have a 10-year-old who is my world, and he is ultimately my best friend! Over the break I took a 2 week get away started in Florida, over to Puerto Rico, then a Bahamas cruise, and ended in Philly for my cousin's baby shower. I had to disassociate in order to give this semester my all!

hey guys! i’m sarah and im from loudoun county, virginia but moved to charlotte in january! i am in my second semester of the ABSN program. I am super excited to learn more about pharmacology so I am able to apply it to my clinical experience and have a better understanding of patient care. I am super nervous about the class as I have heard from nursing friends that it can be tough. over the break i spent time with my boyfriend helping him move into my apartment:) here is a picture of my pride and joy, stanley:)

Hello my name is Ava Swain! I am from Tampa Florida but I have lived in NC for the past 4 years. I went to UNC Chapel Hill and graduated in December. I am in my second semester of the ABSN program. I hope to become comfortable and confident in distribution and knowledge of medication. I am nervous about the pace of the 11 week course and hoping to learn all I can in such a short amount of time. My mom, sister and I went on vacation and visited the Eiffel Tower over break! Can't wait for a great semester!
