The political cartoon below displays the events that took place while also exemplifying collective behavior. Collective behavior refers to activities involving large numbers of people that are usually controversial and bring about social change (Macionis, 490). The riot that followed the protests were clearly controversial as police did nothing to stop these white supremacists yet continue to target black people for peacefully protesting.

Floyd's death has brought about social change as it caused many to evaluate the context of race in or society while bringing about change in one of the most important socials institutions: politics.
