Mrs. Glover did a great job going over the Blooket game after the students worked through the game. She made sure to have the students respond and think about how they came up with the answers.

Small Group Classroom

Mrs. Karr uses Classroom Screen to keep students on task while she pulls small groups to the back of the room. I love how she uses the Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle method to help students work through their checklist. She also assigns a class captain to assist students who need help while she is working with a small group in the back of the room.

Ms. T does a great job of thoroughly explaining the topic, relating it to her students and the real world, and then checking in to make sure everyone understands. Her classroom environment is welcoming and the mutual level of respect between teacher and student is clear!

Mr. Stuursma has fantastic classroom management that is engaging and also fun for the students. Today they were working on absolute value and all students in the room had a great understanding of the concept.

Today students in Mrs. Engelbracht's class were working on distributive property with integers. She has fantastic methods for teaching these concepts that many students can relate to and apply when independently practicing problems.

Fuller-8th Grade ELA

Ms. Fuller's students were writing narratives today. Ms. Fuller did an amazing job talking to students about developing ideas and the thought process behind writing narrative essays. She did a great job showing students how to add dialogue, imagery, and figurative language through modeling! Where her students started working, they did a great job applying the information that she had just taught! Nice work, Ms. Fuller!

Barkley - 7th Grade ELA - Figurative Language from "The Tell Tale Heart"

Mrs. Barkley engaged the students by using figurative language from the short story, to engage whole class discussion. Students were required to categorize figurative language from the story into the figures of speech they have learned. When a student did not provide the correct answer, Mrs. Barkley encouraged the student to explain the reason behind their answer choice. Following this, other students were allowed to identify the correct answer. Super class engagement and participation. Well done!

Colonial Life in Georgia - The Game of Life

Students were actively engaged in reviewing the different types of colonists that came to Georgia. They rolled number cubes and were given different scenarios for colonial life. Highly engaging!

Ms. Engelbracht was actively teaching while walking around the class, keeping her students engaged in learning math. She used the chattiness of some students to her advantage, having them assist other learners. Awesome teaching and class management!

Invisible Numbers, Visible Fun

Students learned about distribution and struggled with the concept of invisible numbers but Ms. Engelbracht kept the class engaged and in a positive spirit. She has a great relationship with the students and uses proximity to make sure all students are making progress. I loved to see her banter with the kids, and how that relationship kept the kids going through a challenging task.
