         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.  The book so far presents the data that reinforces the need to examine culture in the classroom.<br><br>2.  This section was an introduction to the issues of the book and statistics to support it.  From a historical context, the author presents the following question in the first chapter - Is there a need for separate school?   Its not a book about despair but one about keeping dreams alive. <br>3.  It will give us a better understanding for seeing color and race and allow us to support teachers to be more empathetic to their individual needs.<br><br>4.  "What happens to a dream deferred?"  Langston Hughes<br><br><br>Teachers will have opportunities to create appropriate strategies and techniques according the cultural diversity of their students. </div>]]></description>
