I would like to participate in the heros challenge so that I can take time to focus on myself throughout the year. This is important to me because I am trying to graduate in June and I need to focus on myself so that I can focus on my grades. LPP helps me keep my grades up, and the people here are helpful so being a part of this heroes quest would help me stay focused. Taking care of your mental health is important because you can become really sad, and let go of yourself, and everything could fall apart. Graduating is important because if you don't graduate you can not get a good job, you can’t go to college so it's really important. Right now to take care of my mental health I play basketball on the Varsity team and the AAU team, I also listen to music. By participating in the heroes quest it would help me in other ways like focusing on my mental health. And it could help me focus better in school and get my grades up and if I do than I can continue to stay on the basketball team. When I joined the LPP summer program it made me want to stay more and help out.

This program, "The Hero’s Quest: A Journey to the Summit," is literally everything I need right now. I feel like my whole life is just on repeat, you know? Like, it's the same classes, same drama, same everything. I'm so over it. I want to do this quest to, like, actually do something. Not just scroll on my phone or binge shows, but really challenge myself and see what I'm even capable of.

The whole "hero's journey" thing isn't just some cheesy trope. It's about leveling up in real life. I feel like I'm stuck at the beginning of my own story, and this is the call to adventure. I want to face the unknowns, conquer my fears, and come back with some new skills and a different perspective. I'm tired of feeling like I'm just watching my life happen; I want to be the main character.

I'm not trying to be extra or anything, but I think this is a serious canon event for me. It’s about more than just reaching a summit. It’s about proving to myself that I can do hard things and not get completely wrecked by them. It's about finding out who I really am when all the distractions are gone. I want to come back with that "elixir" everyone talks about, whatever that ends up being, and know that I actually earned it.

The reason I am doing this is because I want to become better not just for me but also for the community and for my siblings but the main reason is to challenge myself to do better and become better and it gives me a chance to meet new people in the same program but from different areas. I could also make new friends and to also prove to everyone that you can do anything if you put your mind to it and this gives me an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and get out of the house to meet new people and to get used to people that I may know or get to know and it's not just for the thrill it's to get to know other people but me and other people could come as a union to express feelings or ideas but to also know that there are others like me that do the program I could speak to them about certain things like drama or anything if I feel down because Liberty Partnership Program is like a family that we can bring each other up instead of other bring them down because we can only control what we do.

I accept the "The Hero’s Quest: A Journey to the Summit" challenge because I am ready to grow. I want to step out of my comfort zone, face my fears, and become the best version of myself. This journey represents more than just a challenge. It’s an opportunity to transform the way I approach life, school, and relationships.

* One of my personal goals is to overcome fear — especially the fear of failure and the fear of not being good enough. These doubts have held me back in the past, but I’m no longer willing to let them define me. The Hero’s Quest offers a chance to face those fears head-on, through real physical, emotional, and intellectual challenges that will push me beyond what I thought was possible.

* I also want to build confidence in who I am and what I can achieve. Meeting new people, sharing experiences, and learning from others will help me open up and trust myself more. I believe that through this experience, I will not only become more confident, but also more connected — to others, and to my own potential.

* Another reason I accept this challenge is because I want to succeed in high school. Not just academically, but as a leader and role model. I know that resilience, character, and self-discipline are key to making the most of these years, and I see the Hero’s Quest and Fordham University Liberty Partnership Program as a path to developing those qualities in a meaningful and lasting way.

* In short, I accept the Hero's Quest challenge because I’m ready to grow. Not just for today, but for the future I’m building, one step at a time.

I am really excited to accept and take on "The Hero's Quest: A Journey to the Summit" challenge. There's a moment in life when something inside you stirs. A quiet voice that says, "It's time to grow; it's time to move." That's what I felt when the Fordham University LPP sent me the email and read about the Hero's Quest challenge.

In a world that often rewards convenience and comfort, I’m choosing discomfort and discipline. I’m stepping into this multi-month journey because I want to be challenged emotionally, intellectually, and physically. I want to discover what I’m truly capable of and push myself beyond my comfort zone.

One of my goals is to become more independent. Not just in my daily life, but in how I think, how I move through the world, and how I handle challenges. I want to build the kind of inner strength that allows me to trust myself, make bold decisions, and create a life that reflects who I truly am. I know that kind of growth doesn’t happen by staying comfortable and that’s why I’m here.

Another driving force behind my decision to take on this challenge is my desire to express myself more freely through art, especially drawing and painting. These are not just creative outlets for me, they’re how I process the world, explore my identity, and speak without words. I want to use this challenge to break through fear and self-doubt, and to reconnect with the confidence to create without holding back.

I'm accepting this challenge because I know growth doesn't happen by accident. It happens when we lean into hard things, when we choose to keep going even when it's uncomfortable or unfamiliar. This is my commitment: to grow, to create, and to become the independent, expressive, and courageous person I know I’m capable of being.

The reason I'd like to join "The Hero's Quest: A Journey to the Summit" is because I'd like to challenge myself with different ways of discipline. Go beyond my comfort zone and experience new things. I want to learn more about how I process things, and how I handle challenges. My biggest problem currently is public speaking, and I hope this program will challenge that. At first I only saw the money on the poster, but I realized its more about the adventure.

To be honest I was more blindsided by the fact that there would be a possibility that I'd be receiving cash. Even if I don't 'win', I'm more than happy to continue this program. I haven't been doing a lot with my sophomore year in high school. I may have good grades but I consider going beyond what I'm capable of. I want to prove to myself and other people what I can do with my skills and talents. I'm more than what I show. Challenges give me a chance to prove myself and build new skills. More about how I learn and the progress I receive for myself.

I'm a really artistic person and can thrive under bad conditions. When I see other people struggling, I'm willing to help. I'm a great listener and give great advice. I may have my ups and downs, but who doesn't. As long as I'm able to push past my limits.

I'm ready to take the big step in showing my progress to my family and friends. Not about winning but about showing what I can do to myself and others. I am motivated and willing to keep going and will not give up just because I don't get it right the first time.

I accepted the Hero’s Quest because I wanted to push past my comfort zone and grow into someone stronger, more confident, and more determined. Growing up, I was the type of person who kept everything to myself and rarely spoke up about what I wanted or thought. However, during SOP Summer Camp 2025, I learned what it truly means to take on leadership. I realized that it’s okay to speak up everyone doesn’t have to agree with you, but someone will always listen. You should never be afraid to voice your opinion. That experience also taught me determination. I faced multiple challenges during camp, and no matter how difficult they were, I refused to give up. I reminded myself that stepping outside my comfort zone was the point of the journey. The Hero’s Quest gives me another reason to stay focused and disciplined, even when things get hard. Through this experience, I hope to strengthen my confidence in leading others, comforting them, and encouraging them to always be themselves. I accepted the Hero’s Quest because I’m ready to become the best version of myself and show that real growth happens when we face challenges head on. I hope to inspire others to be the change they want to be.

The reasons why I accept the hero’s quest challenge it’s because I want to see what I’m capable of doing because I don’t even know what I’m capable of myself, and I think joining this hero quests will help me have a better understanding of myself. But It’s a chance to also push beyond my limits, develop important life skills and learn how to face obstacles with courage and resilience,Another reason I joined is because I enjoy meeting new people and making connections. I’m very social, and I’m excited about the opportunity to connect with others from different states and backgrounds, share experiences, and build meaningful friendships that could last even after the program ends. But it’s a great opportunity to also exit out of my comfort zone and just helps me with a better understanding of myself.Although this journey may not easy but I’m ready for all the challenges coming my way and I want to come out of this experience feeling proud of what I’ve accomplished and how far I’ve come.I believe the Hero’s Quest will not only help me grow, but also show me the strength I’ve had within me all along I just needed the right push to find it.

I accept “The Heroes Quest” A Journey to the summit challenge because I not only want to participate in this challenge but I want to challenge myself to push past my limits to show I am capable of anything I put my mind towards. I’ve always been the type of person to do everything with confidence and passion. I'm very excited to be a part of something new and put my best foot forward. There's been so many ups and downs in my life and the one thing that's always brought the best out of me is being in the LPP club surrounded by the people who put a smile on my face, understand me and always have my back, I want this challenge to be to make me a stronger, independent and much more confident person than I already am. As a senior it is very important that I get the chance to make the most out of my last year in high school so I can enter college with my new improved self. These challenges will help me build connections with others to help improve my communication skills, they will also help strengthen my critical thinking skills. I am ready to take on this challenge to help make me a better person.

I accepted '' the hero's quest'' a journey to the summit challenge because i want to push myself to try harder to push myself to be the best i can and i also want to try something new and that I've never tried before an push myself outside of my comfort zone i would love to have the chance to explore different opportunities. I think that this is a wonderful idea to have kids say how they feel and push them a few steps further and out of their comfort zone. I cant wait to explore more changes and opportunities with this challenge and learn different ways to cope with stress and social skills with talking, listening and writing about all of our experiences and challenges throughout this hero's quest.I believe the hero's quest will not only teach me about teamwork and perseverance but also help me understand more about myself/what motivates me, what challenges me and what inspires me to keep climbing higher. The journey to the summit is my chance to grow stronger in both spirit and mind, and to prove that with courage, and strength, anything is possible. I am so excited to venture on into this journey with lpp and everyone including some of my friends.

I want to join the “Hero’s Quest: A Journey To The Summit” not because it's something I can just keep myself busy with but something I can grow from with each challenge.

To be sincere I used to be a very social person but because of certain friends, I became quiet and timid. My goal from this quest is to open the shell I built for myself and be more outspoken. I learned from a long time of shutting myself off that everything you do tends to be lonely which is something no one should go through, even if you like being lonely you should at least have someone to talk to.

I want to grow from this challenge because I want others not to feel awkward around me but instead elated as i felt awkward too sometimes near people, I want to make others feel safe but i know getting to that person i want to be is going to be a journey on its own, and the Hero’s Quest is the step in to the right direction to start that journey.

I want to join not to ‘win’ because joining the challenge just for the money isn’t something you should strive for, because it's meant for you to grow.

And those are my reasons for wanting to join the Hero Quest.

The reason I’m doing the hero quest is because I love trying new things and pushing my limits. Also I’d love to do a new thing everyday. Another thing is I would love to explore more opportunities like trying new foods or activities like staying electronic free for a few days and walk around and explore new places around me. Again I’d also like to learn new things to do in lpp and I love hanging with the coaches like Jenna Alston.81

I also joined it because I am getting an opportunity to be apart of something lpp offers like how we go on trips to learn about college and how college works. Also I think a heroic thing is to do hard tasks to push past it and have fun while doing it like trying something you’ve never had before or getting over a fear like heights, And by doing that we are encouraging others to do the same thing. Another reason is it helps us achieve goals with an open mind and a big heart. Last thing the last reason I’m doing this is because it helps me become a better person and to become face to face with challenges I know I can accomplish like running a marathon. To conclude this is why I’m doing the Hero quest challange to have fun and do things in lpp for fun.

I have chosen to accept this challenge for multiple reasons. Being a student athlete means a lot of dedication, time, and focus. Most of my focus goes to school and sports which means there isn’t much time for me to focus on myself. After looking at this challenge, I think it is a great way to find ways to make sure I prioritize my mental health, but also become the best version of myself. Sometimes it can get hard to balance being the greatest you can be with all of the other things going on in the environment around you. This challenge is a great way to not only try things out of my comfort zone, but also do it with some of the people around me. Not only is it a healthy way to spend my time, but it’s also helping other people around me as well. It allows me to really reflect on the person I am becoming and how my actions impact the relationships with the people closest to me. As humans, it is known that we are not perfect, but by participating in this journey, I can make sure that I am doing everything that I can to make myself and everyone else around me happy.

Today, I accepted The Hero’s Quest challenge for several reasons. Of course, the opportunity to earn a $1,000 to help my family and my cat, but also to try out new things, get out of the house and to meet new people. I also want to challenge my own social anxiety instead of doing nothing.

I would like to help my cat, Kuma, because she has bad scabs and needs to see a Vet. It’s not too bad, but it’s bad enough that she still needs to see a Vet. I have had her since she was a kitten and I love her. She is coming to me for attention again, because she has not been sleeping with me for over three months. We have been missing each other a lot.

Also, I would like to help my family with money, because my step Dad’s truck broke down, my mom had to change her job, and she is very sick. We are getting by and cleaning up the house. There are things I would like to buy and I don’t want to ask my Mom for the money.

If I try new experiences, when I get older these experiences will help me talk to people at jobs. New experiences can also help me feel better around people and feel better about my body. I have shorts and a nice top that I would like to wear, but I am insecure about other people’s thoughts towards me. New experiences have can be more positive and get me to move around and walk more.

Getting out of the house can get me fresh air and help my immune system instead of being cooped up in the house. Getting out of the house can help me meet new people and have more friends that I could trust.

The Hero’s Quest sounds like an amazing possibility to do and it can help me interact with people, finding more about life responsibilities, and myself.

I want to go because adventure is more than just traveling somewhere new—it’s about discovering parts of myself I haven’t met yet. Every adventure begins with uncertainty, but that’s what makes it meaningful. It’s stepping out of what’s familiar and daring to explore the unknown. I want to experience the thrill of facing challenges, learning from mistakes, and seeing how much stronger I can become through it all.

Sometimes life feels repetitive, like I’m stuck in the same place doing the same things, but adventure breaks that cycle. It reminds me that there’s a bigger world waiting, full of lessons and possibilities I can’t find by standing still. I want to meet people who think differently, see places that make me feel small in the best way, and collect moments that remind me how alive I am.

The call to adventure, to me, is a call to grow—to face fears, to build courage, and to become the person I’ve always wanted to be. I want to go because I know that every step into the unknown brings me closer to discovering who I truly am.

Today, I accepted the heroes quest challenge for multiple reasons. While the most obvious reason is to win the cash prize. If i were to be the lucky individual to win the money i would use it to help and support my family. But there are plenty more reasons for why I have decided to do the heroes quest, one of those reasons being that I would love to have the opportunity to branch out of my friend group and meet new people. Personally for me i love meeting new people and being able to cultivate unique friendships that have the possibility to last a lifetime. But this quest means a lot to me. It is something that will get me out of the house and it is also something that will motivate me to improve myself.

This quest would also be an opportunity for me to experience new things. Such as learning to work in groups and having to adapt to new environments. One thing about me is that I'm not very fond of change. I first learned this when my parents got a divorce when I was younger and this quest could help me to maybe adapt to the idea that change and improvements are not as scary as they may seem and can help you develop into a better person.

This quest is an amazing opportunity for me to embrace change and to make new relationships with people I might not have had the chance to meet if not for this challenge.

I have accepted to be apart of The Hero’s quest because I believe that leadership begins with facing challenges in life and overcoming them. This program represents an incredible opportunity to grow, challenge myself, and learn what it truly means to lead with integrity and leadership. I see this opportunity not only as a chance to show my capabilities but also improve my leadership skills and get out of my comfort zone. This will improve myself growth, its will push me to discover my potential and use it to make a positive difference on the people around me.

To me being a “Hero” isn’t about wearing a cape or being perfect. No one is perfect everyone has their own views on what perfect would be. Being a hero is truly about standing up for what’s right even when you’re afraid of what others will say. It’s about helping others even when no one is watching you, having the ability to take action when it’s needed even a little bit. Through the hero quest I want to learn to be that kind of hero to the people around me. I want to learn to be someone who leads by example through there actions not there words.

I’m also drawn to this program because of the the quality’s it improves the most which are responsibility, empathy, communication, perseverance and confidence. I want to get better in these traits. Lately I’ve had a lot going on outside of school and I feel as if this program will help me better myself and help me get out in the world and feel more aware of how much I do matter and affect the world. I think true confidence and happiness comes from being able to follow your own foot steps not someone else and that what leaders do. This program gives me a chance to know how I can do that everyday.

By joining this program it gives me time to learn to be a leader but also learn who I am and what I want to become in the future. I’m excited to lead others but also learn from them.

I have accepted this hero’s challenge to challenge myself. I have been known to be a pretty conserved person who doesn’t step out of my usual routine often and I would like to change that. This challenge would make for a commitment that I will not fail. I want to positively change myself for the future to not follow but to lead and make my mark on others and I hope that this is the first step towards doing so. I want to discover new things about myself and develop parts I never thought to develop on a journey alongside others. I want to acquire a sense of discipline, which honestly I lack, when it's important for a successful lifelong career. Alas for now I am a follower too scared and nervous about what others think to become the best version of me. I have acknowledged my flaws and will grow from them. I want to be a strong leader, but again I want to but don’t do and this will be my doing. This is the opportunity for others and I to start that change into someone we can be proud of so I’m taking it, a sort of leap of faith one might say because it is.

The reason why I have accepted the hero quest challenge is because I want to be able to push my self further too doing better for myself and my community and I believe the hero’s quest is how I can continue to do that. The hero’s quest I feel is a great way to branch out of my comfort zone and really push to show and feel that I am doing all that I can during my time in school with it being my last year I want to achieve all that I can and help others do all that they can and make someone’s day better or overall make someone smile. Becoming someone who others can depend on and look too is something very crucial in my life. That I need and want too further grow into and with the hero’s quest and summit I believe that is the road to further my success and gain more responsibility and have a further insight into what the world is wanting and expecting from young leaders and the new generation in general. The hero’s quest is what I believe is truly the path to making you a in this age hero one that doesn’t fly around but is a hero in there community and is there for all that need help or someone to reach out too and I would love to hop on that path to a better future filled with great decisions, more learning and happy faces.

I accepted "The Heroes Quest" a journey to the summit challenge because I want to fill my senior year with as many opportunities to keep myself busy and engaged in positive community activities. I want to meet new people, build healthy relationships and learn to build healthy boundaries without ruining my relationships. I want to build healthy habits that could help me in my future as I move on to college and into the workforce. I want to push myself past my limit and become the best person I possibly can. I want to help others achieve their goals as well, helping to push them to be their best selves. I want to push into my community and meet new people and create connections. I want to learn to be a safe space, to boost creativity and willpower into those who need it most, and even in those that don't need it. I can’t wait to see where this amazing opportunity brings me, and the person I'll become once it's over. I can’t wait to see how everyone fairs, and how much they better their lives and experiences through this, and I can't wait to get to know them all.

Hi, my name is Amani Tanksley. I am 16 years old and my third year of high school in Amsterdam, New York.

I am so grateful that LPP showed me this opportunity. LPP provides students who have hard times with academic and personal issues. They help us improve on ourselves and encourages us to try new things. They also offer new opportunities such as studying after school, and fun activities to prevent stress. The reason why I accepted this challenge is because I wanted to try something new to push myself to communicate with people more as I am not usually the type to come out of my shell. As I thought about it more, I realized this opportunity could be a great addition to my college resume, while also working with others my age. I am a very cooperative, kind, creative, hard-working, and dedicated individual when I set my mind to something I visualize the outcome I commit myself fully and get to work while I also make sure that everybody else is included and that their opinions and ideas are heard. What intrigues me most about this challenge was a chance to connect with more people outside in my hometown while having fun doing it, seeing other people including myself grow stronger and push ourselves and step into leadership. Thank you!

Hello, my name is Kerrasia Alexander, I just started my 2nd year of highschool and I except this challenge because I am willing to know more about college. I have not found out what colleges I want to go to, and I am very interested to know more. Every since I got into highschool, I have had no ideas as to what types of colleges I would like to presume in, and I believe that me, visiting colleges, would help me to gain more ideas. The Heroes Quest helps me accomplish my dreams of going into a college I will be confident n. I am so grateful to have this opportunity, this will help me grow out of my comfort zone, and be ready for the future. Instead of waiting around before it’s too late, I would like all of the experience I can get, like going to different states rather than staying in the same state for college with no experience of new types of people or things. I want to meet new people and visit new places, expanding my social skills. Instead of being the shy student, I want to be bold and seen, and I believe that me visiting colleges and seeing how things are different, will help me to come out of that shy student phase. Thank you for this opportunity!

I want to accept the challenge of taking the heroes quest because I want to be a hero for those who are quiet and don’t do well socially, being a good example of how people like me can get out of their comfort zones and enjoy the company of others. I’m mainly a quiet persons and doesn’t socialize much, which makes a me a good choice because there are many kids like me want to be included but aren’t sure of how to get involved. Getting out there and out of my comfort zone of what I’m used to can be beneficial to me and many others who can see me as inspiration for similar issues or challenges that they have experienced. I personally love being included within a loud and positive community and it makes me feel happier that there are people out there that attempt to get us out of our shell, which is what I want to do now. What makes me strong and resilient is my ability to adjust and adapt to different situations and challenges, lifting up myself and the people or my peers around me. I will step out of my comfort zone by speaking out and being open about my situations, sharing insight and ideas with other peers. I believe I’m ready to grow alongside other people from the lpp community.

I feel like this would give me an opportunity to do something new and meet new people make new friends. Also I would love to take this opportunity and do something new to go out , to leave Newburgh for a couple nights .What makes me strong is I go to school to get good grades I’m barely in any trouble I'm always helping out with my family . I love to help out with my mom and dad when they need me to do stuff around the house or with my younger siblings. I would say I’m a pretty tough person if I say so myself, I love doing stuff on my own but when I do have to work with others I don’t ever have a problem with that . I will step out of my comfort zone by making new friends having more conversations with others , starting conversations with others who may be scared to speak up like me .

Hello! My name is Deborah Adejare, and I am currently 14 years old—just a few days away from turning 15—and I live in Long Island, New York. I am excited to share a little about myself and my aspirations. Over the years, I have developed a strong sense of curiosity and a deep desire to grow, learn, and challenge myself in new ways. That's why I decided to join the LPP Hero's Quest, a decision that I believe could be a transformative step in my personal development. I truly believe that no matter which path you choose in life, every journey begins with a spark of determination and a willingness to pursue something greater than yourself. But to have that determination, you need to believe in your own abilities and have confidence in what you can achieve. I am grateful for the confidence I have in myself, and I am eager to see how I can improve and grow through this experience. By accepting this challenge, I hope to develop my leadership skills, learn how to work effectively with a diverse group of peers, and build meaningful, lasting friendships that are based on mutual respect and support. I also want to become more self-aware and improve my ability to handle challenges with resilience and optimism. Ultimately, I see this as an opportunity to better myself as a person and to discover the qualities that truly make a hero. Being a hero isn't just about bravery or strength; it’s about having courage, integrity, and the willingness to face your fears. There will always be questions like, 'Do you have what it takes?' and even if I’m unsure at times, I believe that taking risks and stepping out of my comfort zone is essential for growth. To me, this challenge is about embracing the possibility of failure as part of the journey, learning from it, and becoming stronger every day. I am committed to giving my best effort, and I hope that others will do the same. I believe that each of us has the potential to be a hero in our own way, and I look forward to seeing where this adventure takes me. With that said, I wish everyone the best of luck!

I want to go to Albany with the LPP program because I know it will be a great learning experience. Visiting the state’s capital will help me understand more about how our government works and how decisions are made that affect our communities. I think it’s important to see these things in person instead of just reading about them in school. I also want to go because it’s a chance to meet new people and connect with other students who are part of LPP. Working together and exploring new places can help us build teamwork and leadership skills. I believe experiences like this can inspire me to set bigger goals for my future. Another reason I accepted this challenge is that it gives me the opportunity to represent my school and show how much I care about learning and growth. I know that stepping out of my comfort zone will help me gain confidence and independence. Overall, I’m excited to go to Albany because it’s more than just a trip.I t’s a chance to learn, grow, and take part in something meaningful with my LPP peers.

I am Freddy from Longwood High School on Long Island, originally I joined LPP because I wanted to hang out with my friends and try new things. Different trips I have been on with LPP such as the Adventure Park trip have greatly pushed me out of my comfort zone by forcing me into situations where I had to face my fears and overcome difficult physical challenges that I did not think I’d be able to do. On one obstacle of the course, I had to swing across on a rope to climb up a net and I had no faith in myself, I did not think I’d be able to make it, but I took a leap of faith and made it across and then helped my friend across. LPP has also been an amazing learning opportunity, as we’ve been on trips to two different colleges. In Suffolk community college I gained valuable experience that I can use later on in my life such as collaborating and working together with my peers on an assembly line, which taught me patience and communication under pressure. Also in Suffolk community college, I learned how to do CPR and chest compressions which could save someone’s life and is a very important skill that I put on my resume. I have signed up for the hero quest because I firmly believe that this will help me step out of my comfort zone even further and better me as an overall person. I also hope that by the end of this quest I will gain valuable life skills that I can carry with me to the future and use in my everyday life.

I have just found out about this opportunity, the Hero Quest Challenge and at first I was hesitate on doing it, but me realizing on me hesitating is the reason why I got to do it. My name is Ryan Borjas and currently live in Brooklyn New York City and go to Richard R Green High school of teaching and it’s my Junior year. What I have realized about myself is that one thing about me is I always want to get out my comfort zone but it’s always a challenge. I always get second thoughts about doing certain things because I care about what others think or if this is right for me or more so automatically think negatively about the situation which holds me back to making a change. Which is what happened when I seen this email I thought to my self “is this for me” “what is this for” “do I have to talk to people “ I was already getting worried and ahead of my self ready to not accept, I believe it was gonna be to much. But than I read what it offered and what the goal is and I was like this is exactly what I need, the little boost so it could help me start with getting out my comfort zone and put what I said about what I need to do to help me change for the better is right here. It’s a way to help me build the confidence and leadership skills I know I have but needs to be hatched and released to be the leader I know I can be. So by me accepting this challenge is to do just that, get out my comfort zone stop being afraid and it’s not the end of the world to take a chance. that’s why I have accepted this challenge. So I can challenge my self to get over my fears and start taking action. I’m getting older not younger so I need all the learning and wisdom I need to navigate in this world and be able to pass it down to others younger than me. I also would want to take the opportunity to have a chance to go to the LPP summit which would be a great experience and will be a honor to be named Hero just to show that when you put your mind on something and finish it, don’t worry about others opinion on you and worry about what you gonna do for your future. So by me getting this reward it will be a blessing and a sign that change isn’t a bad thing and this who I’m suppose to be a leader/hero for others, for the one who can’t be a hero for themselves.

I joined Liberty Partnership a long time ago, its been an incredible series of experiences and fun trips. the main reason I want to go on this Hero's Quest is because it would be a great learning experience and potentially grow as a person or even learn a new skill like I had with many previous Liberty experiences. I've grown so much from Liberty experiences over the years. such as on several of Liberty's field trips, such as teamwork during a visit to a Squid Game experience or resume writing skills during one of Liberty's summer programs. I've also discovered various new interests and aspirations during various liberty activities, two examples being radio and film production. While it's a bit hard to recall every detail, the fact I remember so much despite my poor memory skills which are part of my disability, goes to show how much Liberty as a whole has impacted my life. I've also learned to be brave in certain situations and improve my communication skills. I also have tried new things such as making charcuterie boards or being a camera man. In conclusion I feel like I should go to this hero's quest because I've learned many wonderful things from various Liberty activities.

Hello, my name is Kayden Cousino, I joined Liberty Partnership my Freshman year. I go to Gouvernuer High School. I have had an amazing experience being a part of this program, an am so grateful to be here. I have met so many of my current friends, despite the fact that they are in lower grades than me. LPP has helped me flourish into the young women I am today. When I first had started LPP I was really quiet and faced many anxiety issues. I had started highschool with little or no friends, and now have plenty due to this program. I also had been dealing with the greif of my uncle Joe, which resulted in anger and behavioral issues. I also found out that despite my rough time in school, I could still make it to college with good behavior, and go to college. I have accepted the Hero Quest challange, because I want to be able to help other kids get out of their comfort zone. No matter a students race, gender, religion, background or home life they are welcome here. I believe this is what LPP is all about and we thrive with diversity. No student should ever have to feel alone. In school we should feel as if we have many supports, someone to go to when things get a little rougher than usual. I also accepted this quest because if LPP gave me a purpose to fulfill, imagine what it could do for other kids my age and younger. LPP is about growth, courage, and finding your own path. Thank you for everyone who has contributed to this program, I don't know what I could do without it.

Hello. My name is Skyler Mitchell, and I am here to inform you on why I will be partaking in the Liberty Challenge. At the beginning of my high school, you know, my freshman year, I struggled a lot with, getting my work in. You know, I struggled a lot with, you know, like, having enough time to do things. And, you know, Liberty Partnership helped me a lot with those types of things. They, you know, they give me their time and their patience, and, you know, they're just really nice and extremely helpful. And I right now, I'm trying to carry over all that into this year and, you know, keep on continuing with Liberty Partnership and because they show me how much potential I have, if I really put my mind and body to it. So, I also think challenges here are things I can implement into my own life. You know, honestly, it could put me into a good habit of things. It's really, just helpful in general. It's just great things that the challenges are, so I'm a be very persistent in doing these challenges. And often, I'll be doing them even when it's a hole over. I will be consistently trying to do these things over the coming months with this challenge. And, I appreciate, Liberty Partnership with doing such great things with other people and people like me, you know, people that often look past, I would say, maybe. And, you know, just giving them all the support they can need. You know? So I really appreciate that. Anyhow, that's why I'm here to take this challenge because I just know it's gonna help me in the long run. Thank you.

I know that the this challenge could be a really good opportunity and expand my knowledge. I’m always grateful for the opportunities that come my way and I’m sure that this challenge can help me get to where I want to be. This challenge can help me get out of my comfort zone and meet new people. This will be a great opportunity and achievement because I’m going to places my parents couldn’t so I try to make every opportunity possible. This can help me learn new skills to expand my knowledge and build confidence in my new achievements. This can also help me challenge myself with higher level material. I’m really looking forward for this amazing opportunity and to learn about new things and people!

The main reason why I want to do the Hero's Quest is because I want to have the learning experience. I've had so many fun adventures throughout my years at LPP including going to all of the field trips and events. i believe that people should get the chance to experience higher education and people should be safe and cared for during their life and experience new memories. everyone should feel safe no matter what gender, race, or gender orientation

I am Sarah from Longwood High School and I'm in 10th grade. I joined the Liberty partnership program in 8th grade with one of my best friends. I didn't want to join at first because it seemed like just more schoolwork to me since I was already involved in many other clubs. One of the first things I was offered to do was a cooking class my mom had signed me up for, since at the time I loved to bake and that was the closest opportunity I had to learning more about it. I ended up bailing last minute due to not wanting to be in something where I didn't know anyone there, only to realize an hour later that one of my friends who knew nothing about the program showed up to be there with me. After that I realized that I should take any opportunity I am able, even if I'm a little nervous about not knowing anyone in it. I also was present in the summer program which helped me be more welcoming to others and create stronger relationships with my friends. I have always preferred to do things either with my friends or alone, and I believe that this Hero's Quest will help me improve so I can get more comfortable with strangers. I also believe that the Hero's Quest will help me expand my comfort zone and encourage me to talk more freely with others, as well as create stronger bonds with some of the people I know already. I can't wait to face these challenges and see the effect it leaves on me.

To start off with, I accepted the challenge as a beginning of my personal journey and to see growth throughout it. It was a way of me stepping outside of my comfort zone and at first, I was clueless about what to expect. Having to meet new people, taking on more responsibilities, while also having a commitment for personal growth which felt hesitant to me. But truly, I’ve believed that growth and success only happens when you face challenges on the low. This journey to the summit goes more towards leadership, confidence, and determination. I am willing to gain skills that will help me overcome obstacles, make my voice more heard, and become someone who is an inspiration to others of moving forward and keeping going no matter how deep it gets. The beginning of every journey starts off with the mind and decision of acting, for me, getting into this challenge was my decision to act. The journey may or may not be as easy as you can think of, but the friendships, resilience, lessons or relationships built from them will be worthwhile along the way. I am stepping into this challenge , ready to reach the summit, and come back with greater knowledge and strength or positive experiences that can also help others grow.

I’m really nervous about the 48 hour digital detox and I really don’t know how im going to be able to do it I have my phone to contact friends go on Snapchat make tiktok videos and scroll through all of my social media. I think its going to be hard at first but I think I will be able to get through this because when I was younger I didn’t have a phone like in elementary school but now in middle school I do. Think by doing this it will challenge me on being able to do something that i’m not use to doing and I will be able to push myself just like how a superhero does in movies and in comicbooks. I think that’s what we’re learning to do in this quest is how to push in challenge ourselves in many different situations. I’m excited to see what this digital detox will do for me and to see if it will change me or make me think different or even do different and one thing is for sure is that doing a digita detox without your cellphone is not for the weak. You have to be strong to do this

Going without my phone for two days was a bit stressful since I wasn't sure what to do with my time. I actually started reading, which it's been a long time since I've done that. It felt refreshing to not lookna screen all the time. My eyes didn't hurt as much either. Even my mom was surprised to see me reading and not going on my phone for once. I enjoyed it. The thing I struggled with the most was texting my friends and family, and no source of entertainment if I wanted to watch something or play games. The easiest was when I didn't need it at times. This quest helped me learn that there's a lot more out there than just a screen. I suggest trying it, even for a day or a few hours at most. It can really make you focus more relaxing, your mind isn't focused on what to do. I feel that we as people have been more reliant on our phones, I am too, but I feel disappointed when im on my phone for hours at the time. Makes me feel lazy, and unproductive. I tend to get distracted when im doing homework or chores, and I see my phone light up and I jumped to see who it is. So this quest also helped me complete unfinished tasks, and do them more throughly.

I have chosen the 2 day detox, Which was a really challenging choice to do because I love going on social media and just scrolling on my phone for hours. But as I realized The 2 day detox was an option I knew it was an opportunity to get off social media and my phone because I can’t just be on social media for hours when I should be focusing on other things and coming from a person who likes trying new things.During the two days without my phone was actually really peaceful I felt more present and less pressured to check notifications or social media,But Without my phone, I noticed how often I normally reach for it out of habit, even when I don’t really need to use it.This break made me more aware of how dependent I had become on technology for entertainment, communication, and even comfort.I also get to spend more time with my family members having on and off conversations without having the feeling of distractions of notifications from my phone,I felt more connected and present in the moment.Overall, this two day detox helped me reflect on my habits and reminded me that sometimes, stepping away from technology can help you reconnect with yourself and the world around you.

I love adventure and meeting new friends, and I am always eager to take on a challenge. My school community is small. I am excited to step out of my comfort zone and experience new things. A little friendly competition can be very healthy, and I intend to give my absolute best to win.

I am always ready to try something new, no matter how difficult it may be. I consider myself a leader because I am open to feedback and strive to include everyone’s ideas in group work. Although I might feel scared to try something unfamiliar, I am willing to do it anyway. I believe the best way to learn is to make mistakes and try again. If I fall down or fail, I will get back up and keep trying until I succeed.

I am also very empathetic, and my goal in life is to help others. I understand that I don’t need to be the best, and I can admit when I’m wrong. I need to try my hardest and do my best for myself and those around me. If I see someone struggling, I will lend a hand because it brings me joy to make others happy.

For this month of the hero’s quest i chose to do the 3 mile long hike. The hike took over an hour and I enjoyed it all. It was very refreshing to see all of the different scenery and experience nature. I went with Tracy, Macey, and Aalyiah and it was so much fun! We got to see all different animals such as squirrels and chipmunks, and experienced many different things. We went off trail onto a “wetland” trail and that was so much fun! Me and Aalyiah led the way for the majority and got to take it all in. We got to see trees, ponds, and maybe other plants. We saw many different people and encountered their lifestyles and how they go about their days and what they do on hikes. Once we were on this trail for about 15 minutes we realized we were most likely lost and needed to get back onto the main trail. We eventually began to see the end of the path and Aalyiah and Macey began to run. Me and Tracy as well then started to and I ran into a tree root on the ground and jammed my toe. It ended up being that my big toe is now broken and I have to go to the podiatrist.

Hi my name is Aubrey Newton I had ran 3 miles to complete the challenge. When I decided to take this challenge I had realized how much of a struggle it would be. I had group from my school go on the three mile hike but I was not able to make it. After my practice I had to go home and do it all on my own. The first mile I felt great and it made me feel accomplished. But toward the second mile I started to feel super tired. I had realized how much of a challenge this would really be. But I continued with the third mile. After I finished it made me feel so accomplished. It made me feel so good that I finished the task. The miles had really taught me how to step out of my comfort zone. I don’t run very often and I only work out during my practices. The miles were also hard for me because of my asthma. The miles taught me how to have a lot more stamina. I feel that now during practice I will be able to do the full workout without being winded. I’m super proud of myself and I’m so excited to be able to be apart of this and be able to do the next challenges.

While crossing the threshold during the three-mile hike, I learned that nature’s presence is something that shouldn't be taken for granted. Before this experience, I disliked the outdoors and preferred staying on my phone. However, the hike changed my perspective. During our hike, we went on a short 0.6 mile trail. The trail was filled with beautiful scenes of water, trees, and many animals. It felt peaceful and refreshing, unlike the constant noise of technology. As we got further into the hike, I began to appreciate the quiet and the beauty around me. For example, the cooling fall wind, the colorful leaves falling from the trees, and the sunlight shining through the leaves. I realized how much I missed when I focused only on my phone. By the end of the hike, I felt calm and refreshed. This experience taught me that nature can reduce stress and help me reconnect with myself. Now, I see the outdoors not as something to avoid, but as a way to find peace and balance. I hope to spend more time outside in the future, exploring new trails and enjoying the simple beauty that nature offers. It reminded me that sometimes the best way to clear your mind is to step away from technology and just breathe.

I chose to do the 48 hour detox. I had my mom take my phone for two days so I couldn't access it. During the time I had no cellular device I learned that I am very addicted to my phone, started catching up on school work, and started reading a new book. I realized how negative of an effect social media has on me and what it does to my mood. I started to miss talking to my friends but in all reality it's just like being at school with my phone in the yondr pouch, which made it easier. I spent most of my time reading and really enjoyed it. I even spent time with my little brother, which I don't do as much because sometimes we struggle to get along.

It really meant a lot to me to be able to spend that time with him because I know I'm a role model in his life and I think us having a good relationship is crucial. With my school work, I was able to bring my grades up to where I wanted them to be because I prioritized that over scrolling aimlessly on my phone. Even though I didn't have my phone, I was still able to find alternative ways to occupy my time and in much healthier ways! I found that it was extremely important to do this because it not only got me out of my shell but also started improving relationships with the people I love most.

For this part of the quest I had decided to do the 3 miles, mainly because it was more achievable but also because it's more of an impact on me compared to a digital detox for 48 hours. I also chose this because I'm not the most physically active so I thought walking for a long while would be a good idea, there's also that everyone else in the house goes to the gym often, so those effected my decision. Another reason I picked the 3 miles is because I determined walking on a treadmill for hours would be more preferable to days without any technology, which in of itself would've been impossible because of the technology at school that I must use to get through the day. However, It was more challenging than I initially expected but it was definitely worth the exhaustion. I also decided it was worth it because it likely helped with some of my physical issues, even in a small way. This experience has also inspired me to start going to the gym a bit more often. As I felt a bit better with myself once I recovered from the physical exhaustion. In conclusion that is why I had chosen the 3 miles rather than the 48 hour digital detox.

I knew this would be difficult especially with my asthma and other medical issues however I still wanted to complete it. I went from my high school to Coiled the salon, then I went to market 32, and then I went to Stewart's. Unfortunately my phone needed wifi to work properly this past month so I could not track it as much as I would have liked to.

On the 3 mile walk I was listening to music, it also gave me some time to think and reflect on some stuff. During the walk I saw some cool houses because of Halloween. I also saw one of my friends! I didn’t know how to document the walk so I took a picture during the walk lol. After the walk was over I felt like I had a lot of energy and was more motivated to getting things done. My favorite thing about the walk was getting to see the houses decorated and getting some time to myself.

Going forty-eight hours without gaming was quite a challenge for me. As I'm used to gaming on any device any time of the week. But I decided to do this during my week of midterms as it would allow me to study for these tests. Even though I've thought about going back to play on my console, it was a mental battle to overcome the urge of not getting distracted and study for the midterms. I have a really habit of getting distracted and not completing my work on time. So it turned out to be a great chance at my focus in doing more work for any of my classes so that I could catch up. Plus the tests were quite easier than I expected, but if I fail them, that's okay as I have more opportunities to get better and retake my midterms to be the best scholar I can. However I did keep thinking about playing video games and try to snag some time but fortunately, my brother took up all of my time to game which helped me not to consume my eagerness to do so. So in conclusion, no gaming allowed me to be more focus in the things I needed to be in order to succeed.

Hi, my name is Amani Tanksley. I'm 16 years old and I go to Amsterdam High School. The social media detox is a challenge I chose, which was simple no difficult at the start because I hadn't though that I had much self-control, but this challenge really helped me to push myself to not be on social media and video games.

The other activities I chose to do instead of being on social media was arts and crafts, focusing on my work in college and high school, since I am in smart scholars also focusing on my band class music, my drama club, which takes up most of my time. This challenge really help me to realize that being on social media can be beneficial because you can socialize more with people in your after school activities, It could help you to have more hobbies that interest you and I found it to be very refreshing to not be on my phone and having to text people through my phone all the time without having a problem such as staying on it for a very long time and then realizing what time it is instead of thinking about the things I could be doing like cleaning up a little, which I have been doing during the detox this challenge helped me to realize that social media isn't as important because you can focus on many other things like socializing and making sure you prioritizing the more important things like schoolwork maybe it's like personal stuff at home and it could help you to think more about yourself and your self-care, which I found very interesting because I usually am addicted to my phone, and my self-control is very strong. It really impressed me and made me feel proud of myself so I'm glad that I did this social media detox.

It made me feel really good about myself. Thank you.

((Sorry I was late, ive been busy recently!))

Coming into this challenge I knew that the “48 hour digital detox” was something I needed to do, and it is something most people could use to.

When I did the challenge I didn’t use my phone at all, and in the beginning it felt like a punishment but it really helped me with my sleep schedule, by not having my phone for a bit it made it easier to go to sleep at night getting rid of that distraction of a phone in your face.

It changed my way I think about sleep forever it helped my school attitude too and made me feel like I could really do any and all of the work that was given to me.

During the time without my phone or any gaming, as mentioned, I did feel as it was a little harsh and and coming back to it made me feel like I had to readjust, especially when it came to games. I fell behind a lot because you really gotta stay on top of that stuff, but after a bit starting to realize I need to be that way with my work so I did everything I could to get my work done and push my grade up and I got some really good test scores after a good while of studying, and even after the challenge was over, I tried to keep these habits. I’ve learned with me.

During my 48-hour digital detox, I realized how much I could actually get done without constantly being on my phone. Even though I am currently injured and on crutches, I still managed to do a lot. On the first day, I woke up really early and decided to be productive. I cleaned the bathroom, went to the gym, made breakfast for my sister and me, and even went outside to get some fresh air, all without any distractions from social media. It felt good to just do things without thinking about my phone or what everyone else was doing.

Throughout the week, I noticed how much more focused I was. I didn’t procrastinate on my homework after school like I usually do, and I started reading for hours before dinner and bed. After the first 24 hours, I didn’t even feel like I needed to check social media anymore. My mind felt calmer, and I was more aware of what was happening around me instead of online, especially in school.

Doing this detox showed me that I can be productive, peaceful, and really present without my phone. I felt proud of myself for how much I accomplished and how much better I felt overall. I’m glad I was able to participate in this challenge and can’t wait to keep moving forward.

My name is Kayden Cousino, and I did the social media detox. The reason I decided to do this was because usually on the weekends I spend time doing what we call doom scrolling. However, this Friday and Saturday I decided to stay off of social media and try to do other entertaining things. At first before the challenge I was nervous I might pick up my phone, wanting to text family and friends. However, I jumped right in. During this 48 hour detox, I took time to read books, such as "Picking Daisy's on Sundays. This challenged helped me realize how much I really do enjoy reading, and that I should spend more time doing so.

Nicolas Sutter

48-Hour Digital Detox Reflection

Day 1 – Morning

When I woke up, the first thing I did was reach for my phone, and then I remembered I couldn’t use it. It felt weird and kind of annoying. I didn’t realize how automatic it was. Breakfast felt super quiet without a video or music playing, but after a while I actually kind of liked the peaceful feeling.

Day 1 – Afternoon

I kept thinking maybe someone texted me, even though I knew they probably didn’t. I went for a walk and noticed stuff I usually ignore, like birds and the wind and even how loud cars sound. I felt bored sometimes, but also calmer. I wasn’t thinking about what I was missing online.

Day 1 – Evening

With no screens, I had to find other things to do. I read, helped around the house, and actually talked to my family more. It was weird how much we usually look at screens while talking. I felt tired earlier than usual and went to bed earlier. I slept really well.

________________________________________

Day 2 – Morning

I didn’t feel as stressed waking up. The habit of grabbing my phone was still there, but not as strong. I made breakfast and just relaxed. My mind felt lighter without checking stuff all the time.

Day 2 – Afternoon

I felt more productive. I cleaned my room and did some homework without getting distracted every two minutes. I was still bored sometimes, but I started getting creative, like doodling and planning stuff in my notebook. I wasn’t rushing through things like I usually do.

Day 2 – Evening

By the last night, I kind of forgot about my phone for a while. I felt calm. When I thought about turning everything back on, I realized most notifications probably weren’t going to be that important anyway.

________________________________________

What I Learned

•	I check my phone out of habit a LOT.

•	Being offline made me feel calmer and less stressed.

•	Life feels slower, but in a good way.

•	Talking to people in real life felt more real and less distracted.

•	Boredom isn’t bad — sometimes it helped me think and be creative.

________________________________________

Conclusion

At first, the digital detox was annoying and boring, but after a while, I actually liked it. I felt more relaxed and present. I want to try doing shorter screen-free times during the week now, especially in the morning and before bed. I learned I don’t need my phone as much as I thought.

48-Hour Digital Detox: Personal Reflection

For 48 hours, I stepped away from my phone, laptop, and every digital distraction that usually fills my day. I also did this during the weekend because unfortunately using a laptop or anything digital is necessary for school and meetings these days. Going into it, I expected it to feel inconvenient—but I didn’t expect how deeply it would affect me both physically and mentally.

Physically, the change was almost immediate. Without constant screen time, my eyes felt more relaxed. I hadn’t realized how often I squint at bright screens or shift my posture to look at notifications. I actually slept better and woke up feeling rested without the usual urge to reach for my phone. There was a calmness in doing simple things—making breakfast, helping my mom with things around the house, playing with my little siblings. My little brother who’s 4 years old was so happy that I spent time with him. Usually I would ignore him because I would be so consumed being on my phone or laptop. I got to sit with my dad and have a bible study with him which made me feel so happy.

Mentally, the detox brought both discomfort and clarity. The first several hours felt strange; I reached for my phone out of pure habit, almost like a reflex. Or I’d walk to my computer instinctively to check emails or watch YouTube videos. I hadn’t realized how much I depend on digital stimulation to fill every quiet moment. But as the hours passed, the mental chatter softened. I felt more focused, more present, and more grounded. I noticed my mood stabilizing. I prayed, had time to finish drawings I left undone during the summer and read to my little siblings. There was a sense of freedom in knowing that I didn’t have to respond to anything—or be reachable at all.

By the end of the 48 hours, I felt a renewed sense of balance. Stepping away from screens wasn’t just a break from technology; it was a break from the pace and pressure that come with it. The silence and stillness gave me room to reconnect with myself and my family. I realized how important it is to take intentional pauses from the digital world.

Overall, the 48 hour detox reminded me that while technology is incredibly useful, it often pulls me out of the present moment. These two days brought me back to it.

48-Hour Digital Detox — Journal Entry

Day 1 - Oct. 25, 2025

It’s Saturday. I woke up this morning and instinctively walked to my desk to pick up my phone and I didn’t see it there. For a second, I forgot I was doing this detox. I felt this weird mix of panic and emptiness. Then I remembered I told my mom to put the phone away for me. It’s unsettling how automatic that reach has become.

The first half of the day felt slow, almost awkward. I didn’t know what to do with myself. Normally I fill every tiny gap with noise, checking messages, scrolling, watching something on YouTube, and texting friends. I kept catching myself looking for my phone.

Physically, though, I noticed a difference by the afternoon. My eyes felt less strained, and my shoulders weren’t as tense as they usually are from leaning over screens. I took a walk with my mom just to get out of my own head, and it was the first time in a long time that I actually paid attention to things like the sound of leaves or how cold the air felt. It grounded me more than I expected. It was fun to just walk and talk to my mom. We laughed a lot together during that time and made me realize how much I miss just talking with her.

By evening, the discomfort started to give way to something more peaceful. I played with my little brother and helped my mom feed my baby sister. My mind wasn’t racing as much and I didn’t feel the usual pull to check anything. It was quiet, strange, but comforting.

Day 2 - Oct. 26, 2025

It's Sunday. This morning was different. I didn’t wake up with that automatic urge to reach for my phone. Instead, I laid there for a few minutes, actually noticing how rested I felt. My sleep was deeper, and I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night either.

Mentally, today felt clearer. I felt more present in every small thing. Made breakfast for myself, did a load of laundry, and finished up my journal entries. There wasn’t this constant background buzz of notifications or the pressure to respond or stay updated. It was like my mind finally had room to breathe and chill.

But there were emotional moments too. I realized how often I use my devices to avoid certain feelings; boredom, loneliness, even stress. Without the distraction, some of those emotions floated up, and I had to sit with them. It wasn’t easy, but it felt honest.

As the 48 hours came to an end, I noticed something surprising: I didn’t miss my screens as much as I thought I would. I missed specific things, talking to people I care about that are not here next to me, music, but not the endless scrolling or the constant need to check in. There was a quiet freedom in stepping away, even temporarily.

Now, on the other side of it, I feel lighter. More connected to myself. More aware of how much mental space I’ve been giving away without noticing. This detox didn’t magically fix everything, but it reminded me what it feels like to slow down, to truly be present, and that alone made it worth it. And realizing that being present with my family was important and necessary for me. This Challenge actually inspired my family and we’ve decided to do a 24 hour digital detox together every month.

  11/17/2025

Today I am writing about a challenge I am grateful for. I am grateful that I challenged my confidence. When I first entered High School I was very discouraged and unconfident. The school was bigger, and I felt like everyone else was so much better than me. Not just better than me in general, but on a confidence level. In my 11th Grade year I started competitive cheer here at my high school. At first I was super nervous, some of the girls were much more advanced than what I was. The first time I performed I felt as if I would do absolutely terrible. I had made a few mistakes then the least, but I felt my confidence grow over time. Competitive cheer has built me as an athlete. I am now in my senior year and have gained confidence in Competitive and Football cheer. Above is a picture of me and my teammates at my first, but last time cheering at football game.

Sincerely,

Kayden Cousino

After focusing on gratitude for a month, I feel like a whole new person. I never realized how much I have that others may not, and how much more I need to express how grateful for everything I am. I have amazing friends, I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and clothes on my back. Even when I was upset I tried my best to think about good things like if my mom was yelling at me for not doing chores, I would think, “I’m glad that I get the privilege to show to my mom that I can be responsible”. When I would feed the animals instead of being lazy and complaining about doing it, I would say, “I’m glad I get to have these awesome companions by my side daily”. I think a lot of the people around me noticed that I was much more observant and kind. I asked my family and friends to spend some time with me too, because in the blink of an eye, it could be gone. Everyone always says to cherish what you have while you have it, and I think many people brush it off or don’t take it seriously, including myself. From this challenge I noticed how lucky I am and how I should pay more attention to things other than social media and truly cherish what I’ve got.

Focusing on gratitude for a month taught me that small actions can completely shift how I feel about my day, the people around me, and even myself. At first, the tasks felt simple but the more I completed them, the more I realized how much I had overlooked the positive things in my life. Slowing down and actually acknowledging them made a real difference in my mood and mindset. The task I chose to highlight was writing a thank you card. When I sat down to do it, I realized how rarely I actually pause to show appreciation, even for people who help me all the time. Writing the card made me think deeply about why that person mattered and how their actions impacted me. That small moment of expressing gratitude reminded me that kindness deserves to be recognized not just felt quietly. Throughout the month gratitude helped me look at challenges differently. Instead of focusing on what was stressful or annoying, I started paying attention to the things I still had support, strength, and people who cared. It taught me to be more mindful, more patient, and more appreciative. Overall, practicing gratitude made me feel lighter, more grounded, and more connected to the people around me

The reason I say this is because she has helped me learn that I can take on any challenge. I have always found change to be sort of a scary thing which is intimidating. However, Mrs. Ruberti changed this for me in a way that has caused me to grow as a person. Trying new things is hard for me, but she had me try an internship in a 611 classroom. In this classroom I have learned that children with behavioral issues just need to be noticed and know that you care about them. They are far from scary and have the sweetest souls out of anyone I've ever met.

For this months task i decided to write letters to 2 of my closest friends and my teachers + ms yohanna , my tutor and my best friends mom i decided to do this because since this month is all about gratitude and showing appreciation doing letters is a way how to. The thought of putting a smile on people’s faces really brought me joy into doing this. I’m around so much people who do so much for me and show true care for me and i feel like it’s only righy to show thrm the same type of love and support. I’m really grateful for LPP and all they do for me and the support they bring me with tutoring and many events they make me feel seen and i couldn’t be more grateful. My teachers at my school also make me feel seen and are all amazing and kind souls who deserve the world and more. They’ve all helped me in so much ways and changed my lives and my perspective on how i view things if i can give these people more i really would because i truly appreciate them so much.

Focusing on gratitude really helped me out with making me think more positive about something. Like the small things in life. The smile someone gives you or the reaction when you gift them something. Focusing on life and a positive attitude really opened up a growth mindset. My progress when I do certain things. I feel less tense these days. My perspective in the happier things had grown as well, I feel more relaxed. I even started to read more. Took on painting as a skill to. I see more of the good in my life, and recognized support that my family gives me. I appreciate every little thing because I know that I've got it good in life. I'm thankful for my parents and siblings. The roof over my head. Focusing on gratitude for a month has been a very good experience for me.

1. Wrote a thank you card or note

For this task I wrote three letters. I wrote one to my friend Maya, one to my teacher Mrs. Dean, and one to my principal Mrs. Kissick. I did extra because all of them really help me, and I wanted them to know I appreciate them a lot.

2. Helped someone for 15 minutes without being asked

I helped my grandma bring in all the groceries and put them away. She didn’t ask me, I just did it.

3. Took and posted a picture of something that makes me smile

I posted a picture of my cat because he always acts goofy. My caption said He funny for no reason.

4. Told three people something I appreciate about them

I told my friend he always makes me laugh. I told my brother he always has my back. I told my cousin she’s really nice to everybody.

5. Made a Gratitude Jar for a week

I made a jar out of an old cup and each day I wrote a note like “I’m grateful for my bed,” “I’m grateful for my family,” “I’m grateful for my food,” and things like that.

6. Shared a challenge I’m grateful for

I shared in the Quest group about how I struggled in math last year, but it taught me to ask for help and not give up.

7. Made a gratitude playlist

I made a playlist with 8 songs that make me feel happy and calm, and then I shared it.

8. Thanked someone in a public way

I thanked my wrestling coach on Instagram for always helping me get better.

9. Reflected on someone who changed my life

I wrote about my mom because she pushes me to be better and helps me even when I’m being annoying.

10. Donated something

I donated my old hoodie to my neighbor because he liked it and it doesn’t fit me anymore.

11. Invited someone to lunch or a walk

I invited my friend to walk home with me after school. We talked about random stuff and it was really chill.

This month focusing on gratitude taught me a lot because I don’t normally think about this stuff that deep. Doing all the tasks helped me notice how many people in my life do things for me, and I don’t always say thank you. Writing the letters was the biggest thing for me. I wrote to my friend, my teacher, and my principal, and it made me realize how much they’ve done to help me. When I finished the letters, I felt good because it made me think about how lucky I am.

The Gratitude Jar and telling people what I appreciate about them made my days better too. When you think about good things on purpose, your whole day feels easier. Helping someone without being asked also made me feel proud because it made them smile and that made me happy too. I learned that I have a lot to be grateful for like my family, my friends, my teachers, my pets, and even the hard things I went through. They all helped me grow. Doing this challenge made me see that being grateful isn’t hard, and it makes life way less stressful. I want to keep doing it even after the challenge is over.

Focusing on gratitude for a month helped me see how many meaningful moments I have without noticing them. One of the things I appreciated most was being re-elected as president of my literary club. I gave my speech with confidence and improv, and I congratulated my vice president, secretary, and everyone who ran. It made me grateful for the trust people have in me and the support around me.

Writing a thank-you note to my teachers and peers helped me slow down and recognize the people who lift me up. I am grateful for the opportunities I get outside of school because they give me a chance to think about myself in kind ways and grow.

During a Stage the Change field trip, I invited someone sitting alone to join our group discussion while we shared our experiences for our monologues. It made the moment feel more connected and showed me how small actions can make someone feel included. One of my favorite moments was taking a photo with my friend in Washington, DC. I had an injured knee, and she helped me walk around, which made the memory special.

Making a gratitude playlist with the metal and rock I love reminded me how music keeps me grounded. This month taught me that gratitude is not about big things. It is about noticing the support, kindness, and small moments that shape life.

One thing I have learned from focusing on gratitude this month is how important it is to be truly grateful for everyone and everything around you. Taking even five minutes each day to slow down and appreciate what you have can shift your whole perspective. It makes you realize how supported, loved, and fortunate you really are, even on days that feel difficult.

When I think about the people I’m grateful for this month, I can’t choose just one. My girlfriend, my best friend Emily, and my dad have each made a positive impact on my life in their own unique ways. Emily is someone I can always have a good time with. I can be completely goofy around her without ever feeling embarrassed or judged. She listens, supports me, and brings out the happiest version of myself, and I’ll always be there for her in the same way.

My dad is another person I’m incredibly grateful for. He’s someone I can talk to like he’s my friend, and he always understands me. We have so much in common, and I feel comfortable being myself around him. Honestly, we’re basically the same person, and that connection means a lot to me.

By focusing on gratitude this month, I learned a lot about how important it really is. Throughout the month, I caught myself saying “thank you” more often, even for small things. Doing this helped my relationships because people appreciated it, and it made everyday interactions feel a lot nicer. It honestly surprised me how something so simple could make such a big difference. By the end of the month, I felt like a completely different person. I started to realize how important it is to be grateful for what I have instead of wishing for things I don’t. Paying attention to the good things in my life made me see how lucky I actually am. Even little things, like having supportive friends or a good day at school, started to stand out more. I also noticed that my whole mindset shifted. At the beginning, I used to focus mostly on the negative stuff and what wasn’t going right. But after practicing gratitude all month, I started looking at the positive things first. Instead of thinking about what I was missing, I thought about what I already have. Learning to focus on gratitude helped me feel more positive and happier overall.

The reason why I signed up for this challenge is because I wanted to get better at not only doing tasks but to not back down from a challenge. It can be so hard for some people do complete tasks because of distractions, and I want to try to be better in completing tasks on time and learn from my mistakes along the way. Sometimes when I do a challenge, I may not want to complete it because it’s hard or I just forget to finish it. Or sometimes I just fall asleep and forget what the task even was. So it is a challenge I need and want to fix. With this report already being late, it can be a stepping stone for me to learn from my lateness and try to complete all of the other actions on time. It is disappointing to send my call to action a month late, but we can’t dwell on the past nor our faults. Not only will I apply this to the quest, but in everyday life. As accomplishing tasks will make me a better learner and student. Nor will I get lazy and build up assignments where I can’t juggle it all.

What I learned about gratitude for a whole month is that it makes you appreciate the people and things around you. For example, my AP Lit teacher is one of my favourite teachers, and I know sometimes that her students give her a hard time. Making her a card for her birthday shows that I appreciate the things that she does for us as she’s very flexible with dates for assignments, but she has a wonderful personality that makes everyone feel comfortable around her. With gratitude you’re able to understand people more and their struggles, the things that they go through, and comfort them. My friend avoided telling her parents about parent teacher conference because despite her getting decent grades, it’s not enough for her parents. However, I made sure that even if she didn’t exceed her parent’s expectations, we’re here for her and that we will always be there to support and help her. To add on, helping people is one of the things I enjoy the most, and so usually I find myself helping people in school with work, as it not only helps me to learn what the person needs help with, but they are able to understand the material before asking a teacher. One of the other tasks mentioned in the action was to take a photo with someone and smile. While I don’t have photo evidence of the prompts (will do soon), during thanksgiving break I went to the zoo with my cousins and we took photos with each other. These people never fail to make me smile nor laugh, so I am grateful for every moment I get to spend as it could be months before I see them again.

For example My LPP Teacher Mrs. Measheaw is one of my favorite people that helps me with my work and always knows how to put a smile on my face so I decided to make her a card to show my gratitude she always asks me to go on trips and I've always accepted them and been to almost every trip because I enjoy Mrs. Measheaws advice and wisdom that she gives me and the help I get with my work and she always gets me on topic when I steer off into something else. She always is in contact with my parents to tell them when I do something good or if I do something wrong and she understands me like we have similar likes and dislikes and I make sure that I always try to do my work on time and doing my work correctly. learning about gratitude, with gratitude I learned to appreciate my friends and family.

One challenge I am grateful for is moving to New York. When I was in 8th grade we had to move extremely suddenly due to extreme circumstances. This made it difficult to secure a stable place to stay, continue school, and keep in touch with my friends and family. We moved in the middle of the school year so my A+ average dropped to a F because I was not in class. I wasn’t able to see my friends or family, and I lived in a camper for 6 months. Although it was hard I am extremely grateful for our move. If we had not moved here I would have never met my best friend and I would still be living in the toxic environment we left behind. I still miss my grandma and brother but now I get to see them on holidays, and it is much nicer up here. Everyone up here is so kind and there is way less violence. I do miss being able to walk everywhere but I love being surrounded by nature and how quiet it is. Moving to New York was hard but my life is better for it and I am so thankful.

This month, while participating in the gratitude activities, I learned that I absolutely adore making my peers smile. I absolutely love showing the people around me how much I appreciate them and why I am so thankful for them. This task was extremely refreshing, and I very much enjoyed getting to make people's days. This month, I also learned that sometimes one kind word or action can mean the world to someone, even if that is not what you intended. This month, I learned that the most important thing in this world is to be thankful for what you have. If you take what you have for granted, then you are guaranteed to be disappointed. I also learned this month that a little kindness goes a long way. This monthThis month has been a transformative journey centered around gratitude and kindness. Engaging in various activities, I discovered my joy in making my peers smile and expressing appreciation for their presence in my life. Witnessing the delight on their faces was incredibly refreshing and fulfilling.

I learned that even a single kind word or gesture can uplift someone’s spirits more than I initially realized. It reinforced the idea that a little kindness can make a significant difference, not just for others but also for my own well-being. Each compliment or small act of generosity created positive ripples in our community.

Additionally, I reflected on the importance of being thankful for what I have, recognizing the dangers of taking blessings for granted. Embracing gratitude as a mindset has cultivated a greater sense of happiness and contentment within me.

This month also taught me to take life day by day, focusing on the good rather than the challenges. Ultimately, these lessons have deepened my understanding of how gratitude and kindness can shape not only my life but also the lives of those around me. I'm committed to carrying this newfound appreciation forward in every interaction and moment., I also learned to take life day by day and focus more on the good in my life than the bad.

During the month of gratitude, I learned to appreciate a lot of people and appreciate what was surrounding me. The thing that I most liked about this assignment was writing the thank you note to my friend. I really enjoyed writing and seeing her face when she received the letter. I took pictures and screenshots of the assignments I did and some I didn’t take pictures of since it was in the moment. For example when we had to help someone for 15 minutes, I help my mom do my quince decorations, another one was the story we are greatful for I shared out a story to my group of friends. Lastly was the donating, I got to help people by donating clothes to those who needed it. I went to my closet and took out some things I don’t wear anymore and I gave it to someone who needed it more then me.

I just finished this challenge, and it was honestly way harder than I thought it would be. The first part was drinking eight glasses of water every day. This was super tough for me because I usually don't drink that much water at all. I’m used to just having a juice box or something with lunch, so keeping track of eight whole glasses felt like I was constantly running to the kitchen (and the bathroom!). My stomach felt so full of water all the time, but I guess it’s healthy. The other really hard part was the "no social media after 6:00 PM" rule. That was the worst because 6:00 is usually exactly when I finish my homework and chores. Normally, that’s my time to finally relax, hop on my phone, and see what everyone is doing. Not being able to scroll through TikTok or check my messages felt so weird at first. I kept reaching for my phone without even thinking about it! However, I actually learned something cool from this. Since I wasn't on social media, I realized I have a lot of free will to do other things. I found out that if I really want to accomplish a goal, I actually can. For example, I practiced my exercise and learned that I’m actually really good at pushups! I was able to do them very easily, which I didn't expect. Overall it was a long week but I feel pretty proud of myself for sticking to it.

While focusing on gratitude for an entire month i feel changed! I know feel like i am able to truly appreciate all things big and little in my life! I was most excited for this month’s challenge of gratitude as that is something I struggle with from time to time, but now am extremely thankful for this experience. This is not necessarily just a personal achievement but I can as well share it with others showing them how to view life it a different aspect. During this month I as well unexpectedly lost my grandfather which was extremely hard for me as we were very close, so with my new gratitude skills I feel as though I am able to cherish and truly appreciate the people I have around me! It as well allows me to be able to show my growth and progress and to be able to look back and see that each day is a new opportunity. Gratitude can be shown through many different forms and as well can be interpreted differently. This month was very hard for me but I feel that I managed to be the best I could be for the people around me and that I learned to cherish each day we have. I truly am grateful to have gotten to learn new skills throughout the month of November!

For this month’s activity i took a brisk walk outdoors as well as completing the other tasks. I more recently took this walk when the weather began to get a little warmer! It allowed me to clear my thoughts and just relax and enjoy my day. I as well took my grandmas dog with me which was fun. Throughout the month i as well completed the other tasks. The one i feel i found as most challenging was the no social media after 6pm. It was difficult for me to complete this as i am constantly on my phone which is something i need to work on. Another task i found particularly challenging was the trying of a new fruit and vegetable. I tried dragonfruit and zucchini. I surprisingly ended up enjoying the dragonfruit, whereas on the other hand I didn’t really like the zucchini. It did not taste as it does in zucchini bread. This task was challenging for me because i am a very picky eater and normally do not try foods out of my comfort zone. I feel like this months tasks were not difficult to complete and Many were eye opening and relaxing. I enjoyed completing this months tasks!

although I wasn’t able to take a walk outside, i went into my backyard and played with my dogs for 15 minutes. being outside made me think about how grateful i am to have a home with heat and blankets since it was very chilly outside. it not only gave me time to spend quality time with my animals, but it also gave me some time to reflect on some of the things happening in my life. like being grateful for things i have that others may not. the most difficult part of this challenge was having the mindset to stay outside even when i wanted to go inside. i overcame it by starting to think about how much fun my dogs were having and how good being outside for me truly was. i realized that if i started to move around the i would probably warm up so i started to run with them, even though they outran me every time. my brother eventually came out for a couple of minutes to play with the dogs as well, and it was funny watching them. it was a struggle to complete all of the tasks, but overall it was very good for my mental and physical health.

I have accomplished all eleven gratitude tasks. This is a picture of the task that asked to post a picture of something that makes you smile. I had posted a picture of me and my friends on to my instagram. Doing all of these eleven tasks had really taught me how to show gratitude in many different ways. I had learned to show kindness to others and to help others in need of it. Seeing the smiles on other peoples faces after just talking to them had made me happy in ways I couldn’t imagine. Even hearing people say “thank you” after walking with them or complimenting them had made me feel more accomplished. After writing a thank you card to one of my favorite teachers she loved it so much she started to cry. This made me feel so happy and grateful for this challenge and the opportunity’s it has given me so far. Also making the gratitude playlist had helped me a lot. Listening to the playlist helps me to feel less anxiety and stress when I’m feeling it. I still listen to this playlist at least three times a week. Overall this challenge helped to grow me as a person and create and more supportive and kinder person.

For the other tasks being able to branch out and show how I am grateful towards others was great and being able too see the reaction of that good deed and making someone feel appreciated is really a reward in itself. Overall this challenge was my favorite so far being able too write and have a more creative side too showing gratitude was amazing.

I walked for 15 minutes while it was snowing outside. At first, I thought it would be challenging to go outside because the sidewalks would be wet and slippery, and I was worried I might slip and fall. However, it wasn’t a bad experience after all. The cold air felt refreshing, and the snow made everything around me feel quieter and more peaceful. After feeling stressed for an entire week because of exams🥲 this short walk helped me clear my mind and relax. Being outside, breathing in the fresh air, made me realize how much I needed a break from studying and stressing . Even though it was really cold, the walk felt calming and comforting, and it gave me a sense of relief and balance that I hadn’t felt in days. Although the snow got my shoes wet it didn’t really matter to me because what matters to me is overcoming something that I thought was challenging .

During the months of December and January, the most difficult challenge I faced was trying a new fruit and vegetable. This was hard for me because I am a very picky eater and usually like to stick to foods I already know and enjoy. Trying something unfamiliar makes me nervous because I worry about the taste and texture. The new fruit and vegetables I tried were dragon fruit and zucchini. At first, I was very skeptical because I didn’t think I would like either of them. The appearance of dragon fruit especially made me unsure, and I had never eaten zucchini before. However, after I finally tried them, I realized that I had been missing out. The dragon fruit surprised me because it was refreshing and kind of sweet. I ended up rating it an 8/10 because I enjoyed it more than I expected. The zucchini was not my favorite, but it was still better than I thought it would be, so I rated it a 6/10. Completing this challenge helped me step outside of my comfort zone and showed me that trying new foods can be a positive experience. In the future, I hope to be more open-minded about food and continue trying new fruits and vegetables.

The hardest part of this wellness challenge for me was changing my mindset around food and becoming more intentional with my daily choices. At first, I didn’t realize how much my habits influenced what I craved. Over time, I noticed a shift. When my parents suggested fast food, I wasn’t craving it anymore. Instead, I chose to make a fresh, healthy dinner for myself.

The pictures I submitted show meals that I prepared, including a healthy breakfast combo that I made for my little sister and a dinner I cooked after turning down fast food. Making that breakfast required planning, mindfulness, and effort, and it meant a lot to me that my sister asked for it again afterward. That moment showed me that my choices were not only benefiting me, but also influencing the people around me in a positive way.

While cooking, I stayed present, paid attention to what I was making, and cleaned everything I used afterward instead of rushing. What made this challenge difficult was building consistency and breaking old routines. However, it became rewarding once I noticed my cravings naturally shift toward fresh, healthy foods that made me feel more energized. This challenge taught me that wellness is about creating habits that support both personal growth and care for others.

I successfully completed the challenge throughout December and January. The most difficult part was staying consistent during a busy season, because of Christmas and New years. There were dats I felt tired and wanted to skip the challenges. I overcame myself and reminded myself of the goals. I created a routine and focused on how each activity made me feel. Like the 20 minute yoga helped me feel more relaxed. The experience strengthened my discipline and I prioritized my well bring even during challenging times.

During the twenty-one days in December I committed to the Hero's Challenge, along the way there were some bumps in the road. The main thing that was most difficult to do had to be taking a brisk walk outdoors. I found this to be the hardest task because it was very cold outside for me and I wanted to stay indoors. I also really wanted to play my video games with my friends becau I completed my homework a little bit ago. At first I wanted to procrastinate and do it at another time (which would have been never). Then I remembered a quote from Kobe Bryant, saying "The moment you give up is the moment you let someone else win". This quote made me realize two things. One, the video game would still be there if I took a 15 minute walk outside and two, if I give up, I'm just letting others willingly surpass me. So after letting that sink in, I got out my big jacket, boots and gloves and took a walk outside. Another thing that helped besides the clothes I was wearing is that I went with my cousin, which made it a lot more fun since I was doing it with another person. So in the end, after I realized that I could push my limits, I "walked the talk".

The hardest thing about the December 21 challenges was having to control myself and remember to do all the tasks I was being asked to do. The hardest thing out of all the tasks was the no social media because I’m used to staying up late on my phone. These tasks taught me to have self discipline and to be healthy.

During this hero journey, I've leaned many things about myself that I never knew. Mainly that I shouldn't be wasting my time on useless things, and put more thought into what I do during my day. The lessons I've learned is discipline. Timing what I do, making a schedule, doing productive things. I've grown as a person, and become more open to talking to others and communicating. My advice to future students is to not be afraid of leaving your shell to learn. Use your voice because that's the only way people are going to listen.

To any new coming Hero’s, I would tell them to continue believing in themself and persevere even when they feel down or like giving up because the rewards that come from this challenge are incredible. It’s an experience that not many people get to have and it can truly change the relationships in your life.

Throughout this challenge I learned many new life skills. The main one being gratitude! The idea of gratitude has changed my life for the better! It has taught me a major lesson of perseverance. The last year was a very hard year for me with the loss of my grandpa, yet I learned how to perseverance and push through the hardships. It as well taught me to cherish what I have. The loss of my grandpa was so sudden that it was very hard for my family however we have all learned to be grateful for each other and what we have! This challenge has strengthened me as a person and allowed me to have a better understanding of myself and others! I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate in this challenge as well as the opportunity to go to summit this year and experience the many opportunities it offers me! I would recommend this to many other people as it comes with many benefits and I wish luck to everyone!

so for the liberty partnerships hero challenge i decided to do something that was really hard for me and that was a 48 hour digital detox when i was in long island which means i did not use my phone or social media or anything like that for two whole days and at first i thought it was gonna be really hard and boring because i am so used to always having my phone with me and checking it all the time but after a while i actually started to realize that i didnt even need it as much as i thought i did and it actually helped me focus more on what was around me and enjoy the moment more instead of always looking down at a screen and missing things around me and i feel like that was one of the biggest things i learned during the hero challenge

another thing i did during the hero challenge was writing letters to people like my teacher and my principal and that actually felt really good because sometimes we dont tell people how we feel or how much we appreciate them and writing those letters helped me let my feelings out and it also made me feel good knowing that it might make them smile when they read it and i think making other people happy is a really important thing and it also made me feel happy too because i knew i was spreading something positive

i also made a gratitude jar during the hero challenge and that was something i really enjoyed doing because every time i wrote something down that i was thankful for it reminded me that there are actually a lot of good things in life even when things feel stressful or hard sometimes and looking back at those things made me feel more positive and grateful for what i have

another thing that helped me a lot during the hero challenge was going on walks because whenever i was struggling with something or if my mind felt really busy the walks helped me calm down and refresh my mind and just think about things in a better way and sometimes just being outside and moving around can really help you feel better and think clearer

overall i really believe that the liberty partnerships hero challenge is very beneficial and it helped me on a deeper level because it made me think about my habits my mindset and the way i treat others and it helped me grow as a person and learn things about myself and i really think everyone should try this challenge because it can help people in many different ways and i hope that everyone who did the hero challenge was able to learn something from it and grow from the experience just like i did
