Someone can see you different with your hand movement and how you use your words and action together. One trick I disagree with is the mirror match the other persons posture, everyone has a different way of standing and you shouldn't look stiff. One that I find very important is eye contact, this perceives and shows to a person or an audience that you show attention to someone and they will probably give it back to you. Eye contact shows confidence this is a good thing because someone will listen to what you have to say and take it more seriously as well. A trick that I need to work on more is standing still, I usually swing my body slowly or look at the ground. I like to be concise, this helps with the audience paying attention to the main point of the speech.
