Chapter 71-73

In these chapters we are getting more of an insight to Christopher’s present and past. We hear about how the other children in his school are stupid and how the “normal” children are yelling “special needs!” after them. But we are also hear about the Behavioralrules he has gathered over the years and how he got some of them. For example Q. Driving Mother's car. and D. Screaming when I am angry or confused. He tells us how he is getting an A level math exam and how he is going to university so they have to move to a bigger city.

Mrs. Forbes says that mom goes to heaven when she dies, but she doesn’t. So when Mrs. Peters husband was here, I asked him were heaven was. He answered that it wasn’t in our universe. I said that that there wasn’t anything out in the universe except a big black hole.
I think people like the idea of heaven because they don’t like the idea of dying. But if God isn’t in heaven then where does he live? The dead people is not in heaven, they are just with God. I didn’t go to her funeral. 𵑲7H

Resume of chapter 67: Christopher is walking around from house to
house, to try making some detective work, about who killed Wellington. He meets
some of his neighbours, and asks them what they know about who killed
Wellington, but nobody can really tell him, what he is searching for. So he
tries to make up some reasons why you would kill a dog, and Christopher ends
up, making his first suspect Mr. Shears.

In chapter 67, Christopher goes playing detective on his own. He goes around in the neighborhood, asking if they have seen or heard anything that could lead him closer to what happened to Wellington. First, he visits Mr. Thompson, but he isn’t able to help him.
There is no answer in the house number 42. At the number 44, Christopher doesn’t know the people living there, but he talks to the woman anyway. Again, no help to get here.
Then he goes to house number 43, with mr. and mrs. Wise.
Christopher doesn’t go to nr. 38, which is his neighbor, because his dad told him to never speak to those people, because they do drugs.
He then goes to Mrs. Alexander in 39, and chats a bit with her. She invites him in for a snack, but he leaves before she can bring them.
Later, he makes a list, from which he concludes, that Mr. Shears is his primary suspect.
