2) I can see a hole army just facing me, but I can't see them all because of the dust in the air caused by the horses. I feel scared and nervous, but an impulse of desire of freedom and the unity of being next to a lot of people fighting for the same cause as me make myself stay there and defend freedom.
3) They weren't taken into acount, and they were kept at home just to clean and sell food, and assist and serve the soldiers when they needed and came back from the battlefield. Basically making decisions of your own.
2) We would feel terrified, nervous, anxious, sad, angry and lonely. The things we could imagine to smell were: dead people's bodies, mud and gunpowder. The things we could see were: people being shot, a lot blood and dust.

They look just like ants, shouting and struggling as I watch from above. The stir and pressure of life consumes with the beating of hearts, and we're all so expectant. The odor of burning bodies reaches even the top of the mountain, while the smoke circles around the battle. I am far away, yet I am there, fighting alongside the battle. Just an ant more.

My aching chest heaves as I breath in the taste of dirt and the tang of thirst. Hooves and hollering mingle around to form a drowning, incomprehensible cacophony of pride and fear. If you focus enough, you can hear the almost musical clinking of hundreds of swords symoultaneously stopping each other from reaching flesh. Blood, dark and heavy, paints the landscape in red and black and fills the air with a sickeningly sweet smell, contrasted with the bitterness of gunfire.



3) What was the role of women during this time?
