There are some characters who represent parts of Freudian theory. There are three areas of the mind- the Id, Ego, and Superego. The Id constantly seeks pleasure and desires instantaneous relief without regarding consequences. The Superego is what society wants- morality and following rules. The Ego is in between the Superego and Ego, where it moderates and seeks compromise.

Romeo is the Id. He immediately wants Juliet the moment he sees her. He doesn't stop to think or check if she's a Capulet. He wants to marry her right away even though she is the daughter of his enemies. Even before this happened, he was heartbroken because of Rosaline and ran off on his own. His emotions took over and left people worried about him.

Benvolio could very well be the Ego. He seems to try his best to be moderate and a voice of reason. He tries his best to stop his impulsive friends (or enemies) from making terrible decisions and seems to have a realistic outlook on life.

The Superego is well represented by Lady Capulet, as she is akin to society's demands and rules. She wants her daughter to do something and completely obey her without question.
