Often, the built environment is designed and constructed by small groups of experts who do not engage with the broader community outside of tokenistic guestures. Specifically in the topic area of security management, community engagement is incredibly rare. The opportunity to bring community stakeholders into the planning process for security is exciting and could uncover significant new ways of approaching security design.
