These programs include 66 food banks, 9 snack programs, 73 meal programs, 5 prenatal (Birth preparation) programs, 9 breakfast programs, 10 tenant programs and 135 of agencies created by them (Member agencies). But, in 2017 they received and distributed a whopping 9 million lbs of food, probably 3 months worth of food on a cruise ship. Although certain people get paid to work there, they still would need a helping hand. In turn,  they welcome 10,000 volunteers a year to help them fulfill their needs. Speaking of needs, they have a 108,000 square foot distribution Center and 5 trucks to help support their other programs. They have provided 82,220 meals for its programs in 2017. These meals were definitely not made from canned food as they have partnered with 15 Ontarian Farms to provide fresh and local food.

In 2017, the CRA claims they received $6.7 million in monetary (money) donations which would help with upkeep of their organization and their buildings. This money also goes towards fundraising. It would be used to partner with large organizations to let them receive donations inside their property. Here are three examples from last year: 
  
 Ribfest: Daily Bread partnered with the 2018 ribfest so that they can receive donations
Canstruction Toronto:  It's a competition to see who can build the best structure made of canned food. All food used in this year’s event was donated to the Daily Bread 
Walmart  Fight Hunger, Spark Change  Drive: The Daily Bread partnered with Walmart to that customers that shop at Walmart donate to the charity right in their line

Public Relations Specialist-  Someone who goes out in public and explains everything necessary to know about the program. 

Warehouse associate- This person manages where all food is going and its location in the warehouse. 

 Manager of stewardship and  donor engagement- This person develops methods to attract donations .

Database Coordinator- This person overlooks all finances and expenses. They would also look at the donations being received.

The organization has 60 full-time employees and 19 part-time employees. The majority of people working there are being paid within a range of $80,000-$119,999. The food bank welcomes 10,000 volunteers a year and they all need training. The food bank has a training and development center where they train the volunteers and also the employees. The training they undergo is mostly for food handling.

They claim that 40% percent of all food donated is fresh. According to their 2016-2017 report, they have lots of fresh food items that include things like fruits, vegetables and milk. Which means that they are getting good quality and nutritious food to provide to those in need. This is a big initiative to take as most food banks mainly have a higher canned food intake. Realistically speaking in all cases, the money that you donate is not always going to the charity. Some of it might go to someones pay and some of it might go towards a poster. The Daily Bread however, sends most of its  donations towards the actual charity. According to the CRA, 89% of all revenue is going towards the charity program itself. This is a good statistic for donors to know because their money or a large portion of it  will most likely go towards the charity, which is the whole purpose to donating.  The last 11% is going towards fundraising and management, which I feel is are good locations for the money to go.  This charity is a surplus charity because when all is said and done they have $464,708 left over to be spent on whatever they want.

This benefits the community because it helps Torontonians stay aware of this growing crisis in their city and hopefully provoke something in their minds that compels them to either donate or be a part of their movement.
