Did you ever hear that Norway is he best country to live in?
I think the most people heared about the northern lights, because they are like a beautiful miracle, that you can’t see in every country. Further more there are many regions with wide spaces in the nature, so that you can get breathtaking views of Norway. Norways nature also creates the opportunity to do many different outdoor-sports like skiing, ice-fishing or hiking.
Moreover the fact, that Norway ist the best country to live, is the argument that Norway hast he highest expactation of life with - 81 years. Also some studies show that you will get the best education and qualitiy of life, because the Norway have the point of view, that the interesting of the social care is more important than the private care. Everyone should be treated fair cherished and feel safe. This is also the reason why Norway has the best paid employees. This safe and fair-treated feelings get developed by the health-care-system for example. In Norway your health-care and education opportunities are not regulated by your earnings, so that people who earn less money are not deprived.

OF NORWAY

If you want to visit Norway, you should know that the Norway celebrate traditions by organizing parties or decorate a whole city with flaggs. For example there ist the 17.05., where all people in the country celebrate the economic seperation from Denmark. At this day the country is decorated with flaggs, you can hear the hymne whereever you are and everyone wears the traditional clothes „Folklore“. They seem to look the same, but if you look a bit closer you can see embroideries, which inform you about the regoin the man or woman comes from.
Christmas is celebrated in Norway, too. At the 24th of December, named „Julaften“, you can hear bells between 5p.m. and 6p.m. and people visit the church. The decoration is a bit different than in England or Germany, because the decoration is build from natural ressources, but you can also see flaggs, many lights and tinsel and a christmas tree. After eating with the family in the evening, the whole family takes a circle about the christmas tree and the members will give away their presents for christmas.
There is not just decoration in the christmas time. If you are in Norway you will see many trolls which are made out of wood. They are very popular because there are many fairytailes and sagas with trolls. Often the fairytales and sagas are celebrated in traditional songs that everyone knows. Even in this songs you can see that Norway has a great reference to the nature, because the nature plays a big role in fairytales and songs.

They can do this acitvities when they visit their lodges (which are often without electricity and running water) in the weekend.
Because of the love to nature Norway has a law named „Allemannsrett“ that says that everyone is allowed to be in nature and to act free in nature. To realice this privileg you can go camping for example wherever you want to, you just have to take distance to houses and have to leave this place after two days. By the way this ist he reason why Norway has no private beaches ;)

It is typical in Norway to own a lodge, because the free-time acitivities are more important than the job. I think that is a really big difference to the German point of view..
The job is sawn as a possibility to earn money to finance your free-time acitivity. It is not the fullfilling of life, so that nearly noone will ask you about your job, just about your favourite activities. Work has no high significance, so that you can wear „normal“ clothes at work but fancy and trendy dresses in the free-time.
If you are at work in Norway there is the unwritten law „Janteloven“. It is like a code of behaviour, that says noone is better or smarter than another worker, so that there is just a little hierarchy at work. Also the ending of work at 4p.m. is a faithfully time, so that every work gets cancelled and the workers can go home.

An important fact to know is that everyone is on a first-name basis, to show that everyone is important in the same way. Just the royals are not named by the first-name basis.
If you are not just for holidays in Norway but for living or working, there are some helpfull tipps, which I want to tell you.
First you should know that you should not drive faster than the speed limit, because the punishment is very high und expensive. Also there are many people in Norway for fishing, but you should know that this is just allowed, if you have special fishing-card. If you are fishing without this card, it is a very expensive punishment, too. If you have got a notion that Norway is a expensive country- you are totally right!
For example the breakfast in Norway is very copious and comprehensive, but the food stuff is very expensive to buy. Nature products like berries, fish, venishon, mushrooms, crispbread and so on are used the most times for breakfast and dinner. Also they love to eat sweet patries like „Skoleboller“

IN NORWEGIAN NURSERY SCHOOLS

Working in a norwegian nursery school is much different than in Germany.
For sure the children are in the focus and everyone wants only the best for the children and their future life. But the way to educate them is very different. In Germany we have plans when we do something with the children at our work placement. We want to teach them to sit "right" on a chair, to be prepared for school by learning mathematics and writing and want to promote, promote, promote...
These are the goals for children in Norway, too, here the children make the day. If they want to visit a forrest, they will go to visit the forrest. It is spontanious and even the educators have no plan what will happen in the forrest, because they have the point of view, that the children will do something in that they are interested in. For example: If there are enough branches in which the children are interested in, they will biuld a tent or something and learn a lot about nature, mathematics, and stability with all their senses. If someone is not interesteed in this, he maybe wants to count ants and will improve mathematic skills, too. The educators just take care of the interesting and needs of the children, like in germany, but don't develope a plan how to promote them. It just happens.
Now you could think "Oh my goodness, this has to be chaotic when everyone can do what he wants to!". But in case of this fact the children have to agree with each other, so that the norwegian children have an absoluty pronounced social behavoir, a strong will and goal-oriented at the same time.
The most important pedagogical goal is to teach the children for life. They should learn how to behave, to learn about animals and that these are important as a needing or for meat, norwegian children should learn about the householding and about all the things you need in your future life, so that they become independent in a smooth way.

If you want to work in a nursery school your working times will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., which are the typical opening times. You have to be studied or such interested in padagogics, because in norway one group has to have at least three worker, of which only one has to have got a bachelor degree from university, the other two worker do not have to got an education. As one of these workers, you will have to take care of maybe three to five children, that is the planned personell key. It is likelly that you will have a good connection to the parents of "your" children, because the parents in Norway are very thankfull that you take care of their child and totally trust in your work.
When you have read about the pedagogical koncept, you know that you have to prepare the children for their future life, by leaving them space and time for playing in free time and for explorations. Next to "leaving time and space" you have to teach the children about rules in community to fit in. That is even a request of the parents, because every family in norway loves to take a trip in the nature and loves that everything is harmonius, so that it is not allowed to "destroy" this beloved harmony with bad behaviour.
But... don't mind: They will trust you!
All in all the Norwegian say (like the German, too):

"Den beste læreren er den som gradvis blir overflødig."
- You are the best educator if you are becoming superfluous.

I choose Norway because I like the northern countries. I likes the whole padlet and so your writing style, there are many information to learn. But the amount of information is huge maybe even too much. Also I felt like there wasn't a structure , I actually didn't know which part belonged where. To sum up I´d like to go to Norway because the education sounds really good and interesting.
