Something that could help in a classroom setting is opening and closing activities. Too often I find myself jumping right into the lesson. This leaves my students having to interrupt the lesson in-order to tell me about the silly thing their dog did this week. I'm going to figure out a way that I could begin and end my lessons with some kind of story telling.

Another thing I need to work on, is adapting my teaching style to that of my students. Personally, I thrive on the tough love approach. I realize that this doesn't work for everyone. I need to do a some research and learn how to make a more supportive atmosphere for those who learn differently.

I find it helpful especially when my day is filled out by meetings, classes, my 2 year old nephew, my daughter and the occasional family drama...lol. I sit back and the only thing i focus on is my body. my breathing, the faint sound of my heart beat. Sometimes, touch my fingertips and rub them together.... the feeling is quite interesting. It may sound silly but it works for me :) -Nessie
