From the very beginning of the highly contagious disease COVID-19, the emergency safer-at-home orders make work-from-home and quarantine more prevalent in order to stop the spreading of the virus. People can no longer visit real estate to finalize their decision on buying. Although they were permitted to visit after the lockdown, there were strict rules around social distancing that limits the number of people within a property. Besides that, another problem was that on-site visits are both time-consuming and a waste of money as both buyers as well as agents may not be able to coordinate their time together.

Nowadays, online marketing has become a norm for getting a product or service known, where physical contact is unnecessary. With online marketing, there are no travel costs, and you don’t have to pay for printing to distribute materials. Server costs, by contrast, are relatively low. 

However, although online marketing seems to be the only option for minimal physical presence, customers are unable to fully navigate a product in order to make a solid decision. Despite the abundance of photos and videos provided by the online platform, customers could not fully immersive themselves or even imagine themselves on a proportional scale to the actual floor plan of a building. 

The aim of this research is to investigate efficient engagement strategies to increase the effectiveness of online property marketing.
