<title>Karina Vitamin K Vitamin K is what&#39;s the body needs to function properly, not many people know of this vitamin and the importance of it. Vitamin K has several important functions. It is needed for blood clotting and help heal wounds more effectively. It is also been proven to act as a protein as it does a similar job. There is evidence to prove that vitamin K is also needed to help keep bones healthy. Protein and calcium work together to create strong bones do you help prevent long-term illnesses such as osteoporosis and Ricketts. It is found in leafy green vegetables such as broccoli and spinach. It is also in vegetable oils and cereal grains. Very small amounts are found in meat and dairy products. An average adult needs 0.001mg a day of vitamin K, and can be found in a normal balanced diet. But, any vitamin K you don&#39;t use is automatically stored in the liver for future use.
