"Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow"...that guy? What's Macbeth about? Greed. Pride. Guilt. He kills the king to be king...and then he can't stop the killing. He's "steeped too far in blood." So , why reference Macbeth? Get it? Lion King? No? Ok...well...you will. The Lion King is loosely based off of the play, Hamlet. There is one nasty brother-killing, power-hungry, uncle (Scar) and one sad, depressed, lonely son (Simba), well, Hamlet. He just lost his dad, his mom jumps into bed with his uncle/father-killer, and Hamlet is all sorts of messed up. Oh, and he's in love with this girl, Ophelia, but that's a messed up situation, too (not like the Simba and Nala love story). So, why Hamlet? Revenge. Remorse. Guilt. Depression. Passion.
